Yes, they can scan anything from the size of a car down, scanning it in about 2 minutes, and then printing out a miniature of it. Of course it costs about £40, and I have not heard of it being done in the states yet. Of course who of us wouldnt want to do a 28mm model of themselves with power armour added. Well, maybe not power armour for myself, but as a Dark Eldar Archon would have some coolness. 

3d printing is in my opinion the direction that tabletop miniatures will go. How it will go that way, I still have no idea, but the technology is available.
