Just Wow. Just when you thought you were saving up for something else.... like a car.... Forgeworld has to do this. Fantastic model, and just enough wow factor to make me want to sit down at the modelling table for hours to work on this. Simply amazing.

Mars Alph-Pattern Warlord Titan £1240.00

via Forgeworld
The colossal Mars pattern Warlord Titan is among the most ancient and feared of the Imperium’s war machines. Forged on the Red Planet itself, it is worshipped and venerated as the Omnissiah’s will incarnate, and each god-engine is encased in layered armour and powerful void shielding, and armed with weapons that are capable of reducing armies to ash.

In addition to its ardex-defensor mauler bolt cannon and lascannon turrets, support weapons that would be considered main armaments on smaller war machines, the Warlord is commonly fitted with a pair of carapace-mounted triple-barrelled laser blasters and two Belicosa
pattern Volcano cannon.

The Belicosa pattern Volcano cannon is one of the most potent energy weapons produced by the forges of the Mechanicum. It is so fearsome infact that only the plasma reactor of the Warlord Titan can feed its ravenous appetite for power and make possible the destruction of the most terrible foes of Mankind. The Warlord’s triple-barrelled laser blasters are also immensely powerful weapons, created to destroy entire squadrons of armoured vehicles in each blazing volley.

By far the most impressive model we have ever produced, the Mars pattern Warlord Titan stands at over 22 inches tall and weighs more than twice that of a Reaver Titan. Consisting of more than 200 parts, this huge model is amazingly poseable and immensely detailed, from its pistons, vents and access hatches to the intricately designed cockpit and crew inside its head and the embossed icons on its armour plates. It will truly be the pinnacle of any collection and will dominate any battlefield it is placed on.

The rules for using the Mars Warlord Battle Titan can be found in The Horus Heresy Book Five - Tempest and may be used in both games set during the Horus Heresy and in standard games of Warhammer 40,000, in which case the Mars Warlord Battle Titan is a Lords of War choice for Armies of the Imperium and Chaos Space Marines.

The Mars pattern Warlord Titan Body, Mars-Alpha pattern Warlord Titan Head, Mars pattern Warlord Belicosa Volcano Cannon and Mars pattern Warlord Titan Laser Blasters are each multi-part resin kits which together build a complete Mars pattern Warlord Titan. You will need two Mars pattern Warlord Belicosa Volcano Cannon to complete the Warlord Titan.

These kits are available to pre-order today for despatch from Friday 3rd July 2015

    2. +1. Thank you for making me smile.

    3. I don't think many people will consider that fact right out the gate either. Those that buy now will be magnetizing most likely since that titan has a plethora of weapon options that I imagine will be released within a year or so. Now that I have seen it on their site and video....geez it looks great. ^.^

    4. The other weapon options are more fluffy. This is allready the most crunch weapon wise. Its tge most ammount of D you can have.
Considering the AV 15, 5++, melta & haywire immun and you need 6es to even Hit it in CC.....it more than just a bit OP even for apoc standarts.
And even if you kill it. It might kill everything in 36 radius.

    5. @Seb I don't think "OP" and Apocalypse are words that should go together. Being OP is the point of Apocalypse, I doubt anyone plays it competitively where balance matters

    6. This kills 2 enemy Titans a turn easy!

While the older warlord rules from the 1st apoc book were kind of strong allready.
      This is just pur imbalance.
The side that has one if these wins.
If both sides do, 99% of the time the side that goes First wins.
You have to hope people restrict themselves on the weapons and dont go all D.
I got a 20.000 point army and 5 warhound. I dont see how i could kill this 30hp monster before all the Antiarmour in my army is gone.

    7. The Problem is not so much that you lose the game. Tge Problem is you spend houres removeing models while youre opponent is playing. By the time you get to do something youre cool stuff is all dead and youre just makeing seaperat rolls without any injoyment.

  4. Just... Outstanding. Absolutely outstanding. Blown away by both the scale, *and* the amount of tiny details on it.

  5. That is why I love Forge World.

  6. To think, I was going to dress up my friend's 3 year-old as a warlord titan, put them on the table at deployment, and just let them go when the game started.

  7. Honestly it would take about 50,000 pts of regular models to make any sense that your army would have this LOL

  8. hate to be the one to put this in perspective... but how many starving kids would one of these models feed.? Ehhh screw it. give me two.

    4. That's not a bad ideas for a gaming group.

    5. The problem is you need opponents and most armys dont even have superheavies let alone FW support or Titans.
Eldar & CSM are the only supported armys. Orks & nids could really need some bigger Titans right now. A lot of the smaller armys need something. How about a bigger riptide that SH or some DE love, a big combi kit super flyer for both Eldar armys?

  10. I can't have kids and since this model will probably take me 18 years to paint it - seems like a good replacement. Cheaper, too. :P

    4. That depends if you count Imperial Knights as grandchildren ;)

  11. Wow the sheer scale of this is patently ridiculous in the very best way. I don't like Knights, I rarely play imperial forces at all, but I would still like to believe that someday I'll have nothing to do with enough money to afford this.

Maybe if they make a Khorne version.... :)

  12. Walletlord Battle Titan :-D or mortgage payments hmm if I won lotto I'd at least grab a couple. Painted up it looks truly awesome.

  13. I will just buy the head for £60 and pick it up on my next Warhammer world trip. Speaking to the guy in the shop last time I went, he mentioned a titan head that was going to be exclusive to the store only but I am guessing it is just the same as the one now available online...

  14. I called Forge World today to reserve my order for the open day and had a chat about how many orders they've had in. The chap I spoke to mentioned his very first call was an American that had stayed up, refreshing his browser to order when it went live...that's some resin crack habit right there! Lol.
He also mentioned about the possibility of a legio bundle or possibly all weapon options in the future. I hope they discount like their other bundles!

    1. Just to add...I didn't reserve a whole Warlord, just the head....and a Greater Brass Scorpion =P

  17. We require more minerals... Not enough minerals... Oh well, back to the mSCV, maybe in a decade, so please you guys keep GW afloat until then, because I would really love to have one of those. Hey! Who knows, maybe later we may even get an Imperator titan :D
