Dark Angels Interogator Chaplain and Grav Cannons! Leaked Images

Dark Angel images are leaking now from both Warhammer Visions and the next White Dwarf. The new Interrogator Chaplain is $30 and soon (next week?) to be Pre-orders according to the Warhammer Visions where the model is already being advertised. Also of note that we are seeing grav weapons on Dark Angels, so its a very likely addition and an indicator that indeed a new codex is coming, most likely with the established order of things, datacards and a painting guide.

  3. Sounds like July 4th is actually the preorder date for Age of Sigmar, then, and not the release date. Unless WDW 73 is showcasing the Chaplain and Codex together.

    1. 4th july is the pre-order date ;)

    2. Does that mean we can fit in a cheeky Dark Angels release at the end of June?

      Delete
    3. the posters and official videos confirmed last week that 4th was just pre-orders, and the big release was the 11th

    4. Codex Dark Angel > maybe a preorder the 27th and a release for the 4th july

    5. I've been_invited to my local warhammer store's "special event" on 11th July so I think it's fair to assume that's the release date . To everyone in central London tnhmcrtrd I'll see you there

  4. Where's the first leaked images of the rumoured Lord of Change?

Also, I hope Grey Knights get a Librarius Conclave.

    Anyhow, back on topic....

The more I see that Interrogator Chaplain the cooler it looks.

    1. with the push since necrons to put all the formations into the codexes themselves, it'll probably have to wait until a new codex to get new formations for factions that are older than the necron book

      Delete
    2. Plus side, GK will probably have a new book within a year or so, since every codex seems to be on a 2 year release cycle now

    3. Yeah its nice.
      But given that its 23,-€
I rather get a termi chap for 1,- more when it comes or i buy a sanctum kit or a 5 man squad.

      GW pricehikes are non logical.

    7. @Daniel
      Preferably with plastic Obliterators!

      Delete
    8. I think (and this is just my guess) the reason Chaos is waiting is because they "need" a lot of updated modeles (not updated plastic kit, although that would be nice, but all the fine cast stuff)

So actually the Daemonkin books COULD be a gate way to this. A new Tzeench book should also include a new 1000 Sons kit imo

      Delete
    9. i wouldnt count on it, berzerkers desperately need a new kit, but didnt get one with the khorne book, and flesh hounds are about the only khorne daemons, apart from heralds (but theres one in the chariot kit i think?), that aren't plastic yet either

    2. Online retailers making gw prices bareable since 1989. $22.50 is a lot better. Just need to find one of the many online retailers that give 25% off and free shipping. Honestly gw would do a lot better reducing thier list price by 20% and forcing independent retailers to sell it for no less then 10% off to employees or members or specials. The mark up on retail prices must be insane if independent retailers sell it for 25% off and still make a profit.

      Delete
    3. The markup on trade accounts is around 30% per my LGS owner. To make a good profit at 25% off you have to sell metric tons of the stuff.

      Delete
    4. I get my stuff for 33% off becaus i get it from UK retailers instead of EU.

Lots of people do this in EU. Wich led to haveing almost no more language support. The new ork dex is sold out in Germany for example. Try starting ork when stores dont sell the book.
GW is predatory. They kill themselves to make a Profit.

    5. My regional distributor pays 52% of msrp.. i get most of my models at cost so this chaplain will be roughly $16usd for me :)

    7. Can we order from your regional distributor? :-/

    8. After viewing all the cost related comments I have to agree with the fact that paying full retail price for "pieces of plastic" at the current price point is insane. I agree that GW needs to make profit to continue to build on a game all of us are so passionate about but at the end of the day the costs need to make sense to us the consumer as well. The GW loyalist will tell me "hey don’t like the prices don’t play the game" I can say that is the stupidest comment that always gets thrown around here. Do you pay sticker price on a vehicle? Or full retain on a house? I doubt it unless you lack bartering skills. The same thing is happening in the hobby world i.e. my local gaming shop does not offer discounts so when I travel to other cities I buy at their shops because they offer 20% off or online. Now I know what is going to come next "pay where you play" and I can say truthfully I don’t play at my local store due to my shopping habits. Online retailers and Chinese recasts are keeping the price point reasonable for most people, before we go down the rabbit hold of Chinese recasts to the GW loyalists, yes what they are doing is not good but they are providing a service at reasonable prices however, earning profits off of GWs design team which is not good. But if GW could lower their prices, forgeworld lower their prices I doubt the majority of Chinese consumers would buy the knock offs but hey maybe I’m the optimist. One last thing about people complaining about costs of the hobby increasing i.e. $70.00 codex and $36.00 individual mini, the only way GW and FW will listen is if we hit them in the pocket book, which means not buying the new products if as the consumer we continue to complain but still buy their products the company will not listen.
Anyways guys and maybe the one or two girls who is here being just as sweaty as the rest of us take care.

  8. In theory, shouldn't the Dark Angels terminator librarian be the librarian that is attached to the Deathwing, and should thus have bone shoulder-plates rather than green?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. All DA Librarians are members of the Deathwing, so they likely just display the Chapter icon as a matter of course.

      Delete
    2. im not up to snuff on my da fluff, they dont have terminators that arent deathwing, do they?

      Delete
    3. Yup all terminators are death company.

      Delete
    4. They're all members of the inner circle, but a librarian in terminator armour is usually the one that's attached to the first company, and they librarians should still have all the relevant company markings displayed as well.
Although I suppose they could pull the same trick that company masters can.

      Delete
    5. What colour armour would a space marine captain have that upgrades to terminator armour? Let's say the 4th company captain for example?

      Delete
    6. Any member of the Inner Circle is a member of the Deathwing and is entitled to Terminator Armor. Technically Sammael or Azrael could wear it if the mission called for it.

      Delete
    7. Not all members of the Inner Circle are members of the First Company and thus are not all members of the Deathwing. Librarians, for example, in most chapters (including the DA) belong to the Librarius instead of any particular company but can be attached to companies for operations as needed, the same as Chaplains from the Reclusiam, Techmarines from the Armoury and Apocatharies from the Apothecarium. It is possible for any of these specialists to be inducted into the Deathwing for their deeds on the field of battle but it's not a requirement to join the Deathwing when inducted into the Inner Circle.

Pg15 of the current (6E) codex for reference.

      Delete
    8. Really, that's different than Master of Sanctity, iirc, but codex beats fluff.

      Delete
    9. I paint all my Dark Angels characters in the bone white paint scheme with the winged broken sword icon. It looks much better and there's never any question about what special rules they get.

I paint the robes green for Company Masters, black for Interrogator-Chaplains, and dark blue for Librarians. Any non-Deathwing robed models in my army get dark green armour and black robes. I paint Ravenwing robes dark red.

In other words, bone white robes look rubbish imo and should be banned. :-P

      Delete
    10. +1 Mauler, the Inner Circle and the Deathwing are separate entities with some overlap. Libbies and Sammael are members of the Librarius and Ravenwing (respectively) and the Inner Circle.

      Delete
    11. or you could paint them black armor in the pre-heresy scheme. using the blue/white/black/red etc for specialists.

      Delete
    12. Inner Circle of... the Deathwing &-|

      Delete
    13. Deathwing have a rule called inner circle Thomas.

Youre going to tell us they are not iinner circle?

Termi armour is only for innercircle / aka 1st comp and all ICs (not techmarines)

So yes, he should have the same colores as your. But it up to you blabla....buy.GW paints.

      Delete
    14. +1 Thomas and Mauler, they pass through the first company on their ranks (at least Sammael, for example) so their armor is bone white, though they are no longer members of the Deathwing, whilst still being part of the inner circle. Black Knights, for example, are part of the Inner Circle, but not the Deathwing and have never been a part of the Deathwing. Basically goes Ravening<Inner Circle<Deathwing<Company Master and Grand Masters.

      Delete
    15. -1 Mattman. You agreed with Thomas and Mauler. :-P

      Delete
    16. *paints all of Starchild's DA robes bone-white overnight*

      Delete
    17. Umm, that's not what I said at all, Seb. What I said was that all Deathwing are Inner Circle, but not all Inner Circle are (or were) Deathwing. For example, Sammael did not pass through the Deathwing but was promoted to the Inner Circle directly, due to his premature discovery of the truth as a member of the Ravenwing.

Chaplains are recruited into the Inner Circle directly from the Reclusiam and do not have to be attached to the Deathwing.

Librarians are recruited directly from the Librarius and do not have to be attached to the Deathwing.

Maybe read what I actually wrote before trying to act the smartarse, eh seb? ;)

    18. I think the librarian is painted blue because all chapter librarians wear blue armour with chapter colours on the shoulder pad with chapter icon. Ezekiel is even painted in this way.

      Delete
    19. Oh really? Tell that to my Ezekiel and other Librarians. >:-]

      Delete
    20. @starchild. I never cared for blue libbys either. I usually just paint them chapter colours.

  10. HAHAHA I love how everyone is complaining that the clam packs are $30..... Meanwhile I'm loving that worldwide pricing is finally equal. For the first time (ever?) something is actually cheaper in Australia than all the other regions...

Dear world... welcome to our price point =)

    3. And how much do y'all down under make an hour as minimum wage?

      Delete
    4. They have government and tariffs and taxes that force the prices up. They love to complain but but keep electing the same retards that add more taxes.

      Delete
    5. Yeah, I'm tempted to call shenanigans, just because the AU$ price is only slightly higher. Maybe it's blurry and it's actually $83?

      Delete
    6. That's like me asking how much you guys pay for food, petrol and housing.
The "we get paid more" argument is stupid because everything else costs more too. If you compare wages and expenses rather than just wages, Australia is a very expensive place to live.

      Anyway that's not the point.
No one over here complains about paying a few extra dollars for our tax or for getting the product here. That's understandable.

We complain when companies (especially ones that sell digital goods) charge us 40% or more for no reason.

When I can order something from the UK/EU, convert currency, pay for express shipping and still get it cheaper than TRADE prices locally.... something is flat out wrong with the system.

    7. Inquisitor please stop that ...
Full-time adult average weekly total earnings in Australia
      1 542.40 Australian $
Full-time adult average weekly total earning in Poland
      357 Australian $.
I'm not whining, its expensive hobby and I can live with that.
Oh and your Vat is like 10%? ours 23%

      Delete
    8. quit complaining...... the difference between the currencies which is only 12.3 pay checks to AUD <-> Polish Zloty....

the example is like using British pound v Polish Zloty, it's obvious that a lesser worth currency will pay more than a more monetary worth currency.....only now it seems prices are more or less equalizing among the different countries that have consumers which buy GW stuff....

The Interrogator Chaplain is really making me think of running a Dark Angel force, I can image a small force led by him with a Tac squad scouts and a Dreadnought searching for those fallen scoundrels.
