Over the last week we have a few rumors to keep me busy, but for the most part this end of year silence is deafening to me. Even the in-box is slow regarding rumors and readers findings of new information all over the world, and I cannot wait for a little pick-me-up in the rumor mill.

Presence of Faeit is my weekly editorial. I generally report during the week what is going on, and today is my day to comment on what exactly it is that I am thinking of.

Great Sadness
You would think that the rumor mill is what has me down a little, but no. I am moving, and the boxes you see in the opening picture are my armies and other 40k stuff. So yes, none of it will be available for games until I make the move. That makes for a very sad gamer.

So yes, I am moving, and the move will be great in the long run. I have very grand plans for my gaming areas, although there is some construction that I will be having to do to accommodate it. Yes, I will be adding a game room on the lower level of the house. Its not a basement, since the lower level is really a full level above the ground. So I am excited to get this move done, and get settled. The sadness is just that games are done until the move is done.

The big move day is Nov 10th. although I take possession of the new home on the 5th. So I will be moving my warhammer early as the movers will not be allowed to touch a single gaming box.

So yes, there will be a day or two, probably Friday and Saturday where there will be no additional writing for Faeit 212. Don't worry though, there will still be posts going scheduled to go live during my downtime.

Afterwards
I am very excited though, that once I move, there are several army projects that I have been holding on. So yes, there will have to be a couple purchases, although that Wall of Martyrs trench and bunker system may eat into that. Its a very beautiful terrain set.

So everything is on hold, hobby wise, except of course the site here, and I am chomping at the bit to get this done. Also by that time, all the craziness of the elections going on here should be done, which will be nice. (yes I am heavily involved in it, but this is not a site on politics so leave it out of the comment section please)

    1. Sorry, but it is sad when you know you really don't have means to get a game in for 2 weeks. The withdraws are going to be heinous.

    2. OK, valid point on the withdrawl; but look at how much fun "falling off the wagon" will be :D

    3. I haven't had a decent game in a month because of work. Feels bad man.

  2. Look hope you have a good move and everything goes well .What I think is going on is they have pushed the Dark Angels back to 2013 why because they want every one to get impatient and buy Chaos stuff as a sorta punishment for every one not likeing the models etc and the codex, so there trying to reap as much as they can from all you impatient people . Its really kinda sad that so many of you Band wagon jumpers don't have any patience

    1. I just think they have run out of time to get everything they wanted released.

    2. Do you think it may be pushed back for legal reasons? I'm sure a previous rumour heavily-hinted at jetbikes but also that they were securing the copyright, or something to that effect because of all the alternatives already out there (including Chapterhouse)

    3. Hehe, Jetbike copyright...

Seems like Relic from FFG got pushed back to early 2013 as well.

Best of luck with the move, Natfka.

    4. Nothing got "pushed back" or ignored. As someone who speaks frequently with their R&D and sales teams, I can assure you it's only forum dwelling whiners who ever use that phrase.

The rumor-mongers are less reliable right now, plain and simple. It has nothing to do with GW not caring about customers, or having no idea how to market. (As an aside, their sales VOLUME numbers are way up, not just the margin. So no, it isn't price increases that affect the line. And the increased release clip, updates in WD, and frequent FAQ's prove wrong the idea that they don't listen to customers. Heck, even the missions for 6th were designed straight from the feedback of TO's.)

The tight lid on rumors has almost everything to do with CHS and other companies who offer nothing original, but instead piggyback off of GW; as well as the demands of New Line and Tolkien Enterprises regarding The Hobbit info.

Sadly, these FACTS will be ignored in favor of what's easier to spout. Basically every gamer in a forum functions like a member of the liberal media.

    5. Hi, anon 12:12 here. By asking about being 'pushed back', I only meant if there was an ideal time period that has since been changed due possibly to legalities taking longer than had been expected. I know nothing of the economics of the company and do not presume to either. I respect your criticism of 'forum dwelling whiners' may not have been directed at me, but I detest assumptions being made about me and felt compelled to explain my use of the phrase without turning unreasonable. I'm hoping being civil on the internet will catch on soon.

  9. Good luck for the move Natfka. I've just moved into my new house this weekend so I share your pain. My figures are still in boxes. Got my first game in the new place next weekend so the wait is nearly over.

  10. Keep a few paints out and something that you have been meaning to get finished. That will tied you over till you're playing games again.

When I moved from the UK to Oz my stuff was in a shipping container for 4 months. That was hard!! Lol

  14. Well naftka keep on! I moved too!
In fact that's what happened: my baby child ( a little 1-year old Noise Chaos Marine armed with sound weapons) doesn't let his mother rest at night- he wakes us up every hour. He's driving us insane!
He is also gifted with Acute Senses as he is a ligh sleeper, Horus be damned.
So , he goes at bed at 8 PM, and i had 2 choiches: remaining upstairs still as a little plastic statue for hours, or move for the nighttime to the new apartment we bought below the old one. ( we are planning to join the two houses in the future )
So now the little beast sleeps in our double bed ; my wife on the sofa not daring to breath; and i went down , sleeping on a mattress on the floor, in my hobby room SURROUNDED BY MY ARMIES

that's great folk i didn't think before having a baby i whould have spent more time with my armies than before ;)
