Here are the latest pics to hit the internet waves for the November White Dwarf which is released tomorrow.  There is quite a bit in it for the Warriors of Chaos, but also some paint kits and of course the latest piece of terrain.

Just so everyone knows, it apparently is not a fortification (meaning you cannot have it on your list). It is simply some nice terrain. (hopefully a later update will bring it in for fortifications)

A huge thanks to Johan Märs over at Dice and Brush for releasing these to us.

    1. Scientifically designed to avoid all recesses and crevasses in your figures! And how much for this amazing deal you say? Well that's the best part. You can get this amazing new range for only 9.99! That's right folks, 9.99! I couldn't believe it myself, this is such a bargain folks ;D

Isn't sales tv the best? xD

    2. They look like watered down versions of the drybrush compounds.

    3. 9.99 pounds or dollars? Either way, GW paints are $3.25 or so american, and their brushes are are $4.25, i think, which means this is an outrageously good deal, honestly. Buying those separately would cost 33 bucks, roughly. If it really is $17 dollars american then it's literally half the price of buying them seperately.

Now that's the kind of deal I like to see GW putting out there!

    1. The Hobbit shouldn't have anything until next White Dwarf if I had to guess, since it's a December release.

  4. First sentance, 2nd paragraph...
"This enormous box set of scenery contains an incredible collection of plastic fortifications for warhammer 40,000"
So, it mentions scenery and fortifications in the same sentence...
Since it has bunkers... they'll be too good just to leave out in the open as unclaimed terrain (AV14 all round iirc) i think it has to be fortifications
    Thoughts?

    1. Correct, but if they're not bought they become dilapidated and drop to AV 12, which isn't too unbalancing. Plus if there is a few in there and your opponent drops one in thier deployment zone, pop one in yours!

    1. I do. It really helps me to stay organized as I don't have much in the way of space.

    2. I do its fantastic, keeps my paints tidy and easy to move around, increased my painting by loads

    3. Using it again now!

    4. Yep. It is like most of the citadel modelling supplies - you can live without it but if you have the cash, it makes life much easier. Especially if you don't have a committed paint station. Its a convenient way to move a work-in-progress in and out of a closet. I definitely paint more with it since set-up and take down is hassle free.

  7. Please don't start the rant about "only on Apple," but the electronic version of White Dwarf is available.

    1. There it is. Did you buy it? If so, any useful articles in there besides the minis adverts for 40k players? Not sure if I am going to bother or not.

Scyla looks like he is about to fall over. What a strange model. 1995 indeed.

  10. Scyla is the ugliest model I've ever seen! But those basing kits look really cool. So does that ultimate paint set, unfortunately you probably wouldn't get much change out of £400 if you wanted it! Those edge paints look a bit ridiculous. They're just layer paints with lighter shades, so why not just add white?

  11. Out of curiosity, do we have any stats on the Wall of Martyrs? Considering the rather hefty pricetag, this thing better be hella useful.

  12. Quick tip, don't accidently mistype scyla as skyla into google image search. Not if there's a woman in the room anyway. Seems every woman of negotiable affection east of Germany has that name. o.O As an aside I prefer him in his old guise of a spikey tailed hound of chaos.

  13. Can't really work out why people are ridiculing GW for releasing lighter highlighting paints.

If you want to use up more white paint by mixing your own highlighting shades then go ahead without buying them (and then buy more white).
If you don't want to mix your own highlighting shades then go ahead and buy them.

I'm not sure how offering more products is a bad thing?
