New Fortifications Spotted

It seems these could very well be new fortifications not seen before, spotted on page 80 of the new Chaos Space Marine codex. Trenches or Defense Lines? Not sure yet.

Someone more astute than myself of course spotted this. A big thanks to Robert Facepalmer for sharing it with us.

    2. It would have to be a wee bit smaller so they could see...

Unless Legolas has found them a box :P

    3. Funny, Jay, made me laugh.

But the skeletons in front of the trenches look like molds, and the back part (though obscured) kind of looks like it is the same skeletal mold as the front parts.

    1. GW preorders are dead to me. Took over two weeks after the release of the BRB before I got my Gamer's Edition. Never again.

  3. These look like something more solid that the Agis Def line. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the Dark Angels book. or near there to.

  4. That is some cool piece of terrain someone made. I don't believe that to be sneaky product placement at all. Every month or so wee se something like this and go EASTER EGG. It never is.

Congrats to however made it though. Looks fun to play with. Until ya get flanked by chaos jumpers, like those poor imps.

  6. Could it be something from Forgeworld??
    It looks really familiar.

    Maybe their trench line system?

    1. no the FW ones are a lot wider, and have to be 'sunk' into the board rather than sit on top like these.

  7. This may have been answered elsewhere, but speaking of terrain, did anyone see the oil drum barricades on pages 344-345 of the BRB? There is 5 on page 344 and 6 on page 345, large groups of barrels around 17 strong each, with a couple jerry cans on top as well. Is it just photoshopped? I ask because they are all identical in build, and GW could just use there own and make them for the diorama, but thats a LOT of kits and as I said, they all appear identical.

  8. The scenery guys at Nottingham do a lot of resin casting so could be they built 1 section then cast up 100 more, its how a lot of the display tables at warhammerworld are made

  10. It looks like a preview, it's not as if GW don't slip up; there's plastic daemon prince in the planet strike book which was released many months before the daemon prince kit, and the trenches certainly don't look kit bashed, what with the nice-looking Aquila and skull designs, although they do remind me of the fortress of redemption.
