This series of 7th Edition Tactica that players are using is a fun one, and one that I have had some interest from the community in. Here is another installment for Blood Angels.

In my opinion, Blood Angels fared pretty well with the change to 7th edition. They are still really points inefficient, but their vehicles got tougher. their Librarian Dreads got bumped to Mastery Level 2, and with the
changes to Independant Characters (IC's) it opens up the opportunity forsome Death Star shennanigans that were not available previously.

How so? Well the restriction on IC's joining single model units was removed. This means that you can now attach IC's to Mephiston to form a super squad, and since Blood Angels have TWO IC's in the elites slot. 2
wound Chaplains, and Sanguinary Priests.

Throw Mephiston, with Corbulo, a Chaplain, and another IC of your choice (Dante maybe for Hit and Run) in a Storm Raven and you have hard hitting assault force that will destroy anything it hits.

The Chaplain lets you re-roll all misses in the first turn of combat when you charge, the Sanguinary Priest confers Furious Charge and Feel No Pain 5+ on the squad and Mephiston provdes the beat stick/staying power.

With 3 rolls on the Biomancy table, you have a decent chance of getting Iron Arm which will shine with this unit, making Mephiston S9 T9 and AP2 with his attacks.

Corbulo takes the hits relying on his 3+ Armor Save and 2+ FNP to take the hits, 2+ Look out Sir'ing to Mephiston anything that would Instant Death Corbulo. Mephiston would then get a 2+ armor save with a 5+ FNP.

With Iron Arm on the charge, Mephiston would put out 6 Str 10 hits, rerolling misses due to the Chaplain.

Corbulo adds 5 Rending chain sword hits
You can throw a Powerfist on the Chaplain for 3 Str 9 AP 2 hits at Init 1.
Dante would be another 6 S6 Ap2 hits at Init 1.

This detachment with these 4 characters plus a storm raven and 2 minimaltroop choices (5 man assault squads) would be 1095 points. I would probably thrown in a Furioso Dreadnought as well to carry in the rear grapple of the Storm Raven (Maybe a Librarian one)

Hope you like this idea.
Regards,
Thors Hammer
