  1. Huh. Like Game OF Thrones Season 3 Episode 9; I did not see that coming.*

That'll be a nice surprise if it's true.

*Or wouldn't have seen it coming had I not already read the books.

    1. I'm scared somebody is gonna ruin it for me! I've seen countless Facebook status' about it - I guess it's time for me to catch up.

    2. yea, be careful what you read until you get caught up. I think a lot of us are still in shock, even though I was warned.

    3. Don't take this the wrong way because I'm not trying to be that but to warn you in general.

If you don't want spoilers don't go anywhere near GoT on the internet. No discussion forums, don't like it on facebook, nothing. Storm of Swords, the book being covered for this season and the next, is over a decade old. Feast for Crows and Dance with dragons are 7 and 2 respectively, though they'll likely be done simultaneously for the show.

Point being? Too many people already know what's coming and are more than happy to tell you all about how your predictions are wrong in great detail. So remember you're on the internet and either cut yourself off or accept the consequences. I'm not going to sit here and tell you to read the book, as much as I enjoyed them I get it, 5000+ pages is not exactly light reading.

    5. Nice tie in, think I was a little more shocked by GOT.

    6. Thanks! To be fair though, I don't think that people mosey onto a 40k blog and expect to see GOT stuff ;]

    7. I think it was harder to watch because Ive read the books and knew what was gonna happen. That was a long, long eight mins....

  4. On GWs US site the Paints are up to $4.00 for pots and $16.50 on spray cans. Are those prices above from a discount retailer, or is it euros not dollars? Does this mean they are going to go up again or did it just go into effect a little early, cause they were like 3.77 and 15.00 or something, not to long ago.

  5. Has anyone else noticed dire avenger boxes have gone from a 10man squad to a 5man and the price has gone down by only roughly £5?

    1. That happened with the prerelease of all the Eldar stuff. They didn't give us much new that they could jack up, so they essentially doubled the price of Dire Avengers.

    2. I am glad I have 4 squads of dire avengers already. I still wouldn't touch guardians with a 32 and a1/2 foot pole.

Between Avengers, my ranger squad and my wraithguard/wraith blades I have enough troops for most games

  6. Great that they're not doing price increases across the board any more. Prices are still going up in each release (see: Dire Avengers), but at least it means there's a little more stability with the rest of the range.

    1. i don´t think its a general "no more price hikes" its only this year.

They have tho hike at least outside UK anyways due to currency fluctuation.

    2. Depends on the release. With Tau, Pathfinders effectively became half price with the conversion to plastic and Battlesuits can now be bought cheaper in boxes of 3.

In fact GW is finally doing a fair amount of bulk discounts, packaging up certain units in boxes of 3 at about 15% off the price of 3 individual models (e.g. Eldar Jetbikes at £20 for 3 vs £8 each)

    3. yeah the 3x bulk is saveing you money... but only compared to buying 3 single units NOW.

SM bikes used to be less than now for a box of 3 and included metal bits for melta plasma pw... that was about 2 years ago.

GW is saveing more on the bulk than we. Less packageing and less time to do so.
Maybe we should ask why the singles are so expensiv

  7. Well, this is good news. All products that I can - and do buy elsewhere. Superior product at a superior price.

  8. The FLGS I work at got this list on Sunday. A few box sets did go up in price but I can't remember which and it was only by like $3 at the most. For paints the new US Price is a solid $4 per pot.

  15. Update: It took me a bit to get through but I did confirm that GW did have a price increase and the notice went out Sunday. Sadly because we get our service from the UK we didn't receive this email.
