  1. The Dice are currently unavailable in New Zealand. Either we never got any or they sold out that quick.

Still, $38 for 125 dice, pretty good deal for us.

  2. Wow that will not take off in Australia as the pricing is ridiculas.

    1. Good. Then when the 13 people in that country who play are gone, we can stop hearing about it.

  3. Do we know if the vortex template got any bigger?

  4. The book might be big but there's not a lot in it. I know that's cynical and seeing the 360 of the new apoc models they're much nicer but I can't justify such profligacy.

Heck, our gaming group is happy to swap force org and play at 2500 points which is a nice higher level without taking forever.

    1. True
but its what we expected more of the same and hopefully some fixes to broken stuff

      Apoc is not for you
its supposed to take days to play
i have had 3-4 day long games

    2. And now a lot more people will play it because it will receive continued support. GW isn't going to let 6th edition slip by the wayside as 8th ed Fantasy (or every previous edition of 40k) did.

  5. Anyone notice on GWs site that the Lord of battles and the Necron Vault/Obelisk states:

"This model can be used by every Warhammer 40,000 player in games of Apocalypse."

WTF? I was hoping this time in Apoc that they weren't going to do the "Bring everything you own, and let's play" mentality

    1. I really hope it is that way, I'm a hobby first kind of guy and just buy models because I like them. This would be awesome, I could use all of my fav models.

    2. look at your 40k allies chart, "Come The Apocalypse means "Allies in Apocalypse only".
I thought that was pretty clear to everyone.

    3. Kinda weird though. Imagine tyranid heirophant along with wraitheldar, with a necron tesseract vault...

    4. This also ensures they will sell more of the giant kits, as people will buy them not just for the cool factor, but because they can play them no matter what their armies.

  6. This comment has been removed by the author.

  7. They will sell more one-off models if everyone can bring one to battle. I'm okay with this, as it does allow players more opportunity to collect models they like. It may seem odd on the tabletop, but it's up to the players to make it feel thematic.

  8. Was REALLY disappointed that the Gamer's Edition did not contain anything except the book and the carrying case. If the templates, cards, and dice had been included, then it would have felt like a worthwhile purchase, now, it's just a cool case with a hefty price tag but nothing special. So I went and ordered just the book and the templates&dice&cards.

Will wait to see the rules first before I decide whether my armoured company (or rather, overstrength battallion) needs some fortifications too.
