-SM, Necron and Ork flyers up for sale on June 2nd
-Other flyers sometime after that (Void Raven, Chaos, rumoured other flyer(s).

I am thinking just three.... SM, Ork and Necron.
I am not saying the other ones are not coming .... just not quite as soon as these three.

  4. It's not the 6th ed book. Heres why. Based on GW's past release practices (which follow a very standard industry template) there is usually a ramp up time to a major release, this involves canvas marketing "placed advanced information" and open speculative culling of the market (aka making you froathing at the mouth with desire for products that may or may not exist) But sparing the pages worth of corporateanese that goes with these things, I'll cast my vote for one of two things, the current and most popular theory, flyers, and one from way out in left field, Dark Angels. Why DA? Because of speculative culling, in this case the Dark angel on the White Dwarf spines. Probably flyers though, June sits nicely in the middle of two release windows for Q2 and Q3, Quarter 3 by the way is usually reserved for big launches, like new codices and black box items.

    Cheers

    1. Or the "Dark Angel" is a fallen and Chaos is actually next, with Dark Angels being released after the picture is 100% completed.

    2. Isn't fallen armour black? I could be wrong but if so then the art looks more green than black so I think it's just a DA....

    3. The Fallen should logically be black, but they've had green Fallen before.

    4. I havent ruled out chaos entirely, but I think this promises to either be a standard release block, or a teaser release. But that charcter on the spine is a DA chaos or otherwise (I think its loyalist based on how clean the look is) Also call me paranoid, but the whole "secret release" wording smacks of DA fluff/marketing wise.

  5. I would punch a baby for a fast skimmer that can transport 20 orks.

    1. Problem is the way the orks drive, I'm sure the idea of flying result in them flying as if they're punching a baby. xD

When everyone tells you about it!

  7. Why is there no eldar flyer? Fluff wise the eldar are suppose to have a very good airforce, yet this is in no way reflected for all our firge world flyers are crap compared to that of other races that fluff wise who's technolgy is less advanced (Tau excluded). I think that they should release a flyer for every race, the fighta bomba for orks, Nightwing for eldar, Baracuda for tau, Storm Hawk thing for space marins, the dragon for chaos, the harpy for nids, and the necron flyer so that every army has one.

  8. Hi all,

Both Australia and New Zealand are part of the Commonwealth and the 2th June 2012 is the Queen's Dimond Jubilee (i.e. 60 years as head of the Commonwealth). I'm sure that's what the big party refers to.

Having said that, at some point soon Games Workshop has to offically announce the 6th edition. The White Dwarf picture is Azrael, and the starter set includes Dark Angels.

As I understand it, the new rules will be available for previewing in-store about 4 to 6 weeks prior to actual release. The release date will be Saturday 14 July 2012. Two weeks after the end of Euro 2012, the day after the school summer holidays start and two weeks before the London Olympics start.

    Kind regards.
