New Trailer to Check Out
This is from the latest Black Library newsletter, and is a little sneak peak into next year. Not only that, but as a huge fan of 40k art, this poster was handed out for free as a little Christmas gift.

I don't get it. :-(
ReplyDeleteI would say it's about the Blood Angel's Mephiston.
DeleteOh. OK. Can you tell me what you saw that helped you come to that conclusion? 'Cus I really am clueless on this one.
DeleteIt's in Mephistons Lore in the BA codex. It says he was trapped under rubble during the first Armageddon war or some other conflict, I can't remember. It said he was trapped there for days and had to fight the onset of the Black Rage, his injuries, and his entrapment. When he eventually broke free, he was changed somehow, and with his armor shredded, and his body torn to bits, he fought his way through the Orks and out from behind enemy lines back to camp. It mentions that that event may have been where he drew his prodigious psychic might from and his seeming mastery over the Black Rage. My guess is that this is what the book will be about :).
DeleteI also don't understand. Maybe I've been out of the loop too long - but this didn't make any sense.
ReplyDeleteBet you it's about Callistarius' transformation to Mephiston, under the rubble on ?Armaggedon.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I was thinking.
DeleteIT'S about Mephiston and his Rebirth on Armaggedon. If you head over to Lexicanum and search Mephiston you'll see under the heading Rebirth that every snippet of information in the teaser is there. It ought to be a wonderful story.
ReplyDeleteSurely Mephiston!!!! AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteI think it would be an awesome story a blood angel conquering the flaw but it is always alluded to that he may have made a deal with the devil and no one knows
ReplyDeleteNah no deal was made. I have seen so many people suggest this happened with nothing to back that up. Keep in mind the BA's refer to the black rage as a gift.
ReplyDeleteIf you read Eclipse of Hope it would be very hard to conclude that Meph made any such deal. He is truly powerful, because of being from Sanguinius' gene seed. He is essentially the primarch reborn.
Nah I think he made a deal with Typhus
ReplyDeleteRebirth of the lion, :)
ReplyDeleteWhilst fighting before the walls of Hades Hive, during the Second War for Armageddon, the curse of Sanguinius finally stole upon him. Inducted into the Blood Angels' Death Company, Calistarius took part in the final assault of an Ecclesiarchy building, and was one of the many people crushed under the falling debris when the building collapsed. Buried under the rubble for seven days and seven nights, the Black Rage came upon him and he fought to suppress it. Calistarius' will stayed strong, however, and he emerged from the rubble as Mephiston, the Lord of Death, one of the most powerful psykers ever to bless the Emperor of Mankind's name.
ReplyDeleteThat Ahriman shot is my new iPhone wallpaper. Looks ace.
