I am horrible at remembering dates, and without going and looking I won't remember the dates of my own birth. So when it comes down to when the next Games Day UK is, I have no clue. September? Regardless, this small bit is from a good rumor source, and it sounds logical that this is indeed accurate.

This is a rumor, please take with a little salt.

I posted about this in the 2012 releases a while ago and said there were three books planned.
We will see the first book at GD UK this year.

  1. Coulda sworn I heard this earlier by someone else...

  2. From what we have seen in the paat, this sounds logical. I would also expect some advanced copies and or minis to be available as well.

  3. Are these rumours from the same source that informed us that Necrons would definitely be announced at last years games day ?
That didn't pan out so well, we ended up with dreadful fleet instead.
Despite that I do enjoy the rumours and especially this blog.
    Keep the whispers coming :)

    1. It is during the heresy so doubtful, only Magnus was remotely demon prince like after having his body smashed by Russ and that was after the battle of Prospero which I would guess might be a book unto itself

    2. Early on, Lorgar, Magnus, and Horus are probably it.
Mid-/Late-Heresy you can add Angron, Mortarion, and Fulgrim.
Kurze/Night Haunter doesn't seem to have become a dameon prince, but it wasn't for lack of effort.
Perturabo didn't get promoted until the Iron Cage campaign (shortly afterward)
As for the "Twins"...who the f**k knows with them.

  5. Only three books? I suppose Istvaan, Prospero, and the Siege of Terra, but it would be awfully squashed. 5+ seems more likely, as they could thoroughly develop the background for each of the legions and appease the heresy-era fanboys/girls/servitors.
Anyway, the rest sounds likely as FW normally announce stuff like this at events.

    1. If you're referring to the UK Gamesday date, its actually the 23rd of Septemeber although you're welcome to try to explain to the UK GW site that they (and the tickets!) have the wrong date on them :P
If you were referring to something else, sorry I thought you meant otherwise

    2. Oh yeah... I was confusing it with the 40k Doubles Tournament. I must put clearer entries in my calendar.

Thanks for not being all sarcastic in your reply though.. oh wait... (!)

  7. 3 books means 3 loyal and 3 traitor legions profiled in each book, I suppose.
