    1. Fw is gonna start making stuff fir the Horus Heresy. Which is cool. Not really though if you're a hardcore xenos player....

    2. Oh come on, like Xenos players exist :P haha

The trailer does look impressive though, even if it's mostly text

    3. I have always been a pre-heresy player. And i'm not excited in the least about this. People like me used to be the 'elite' of the gaming community, now every man and his dog has a pre-heresy army.

  2. I know that usually Iam all for FW models in TO and regular 40k games but...if I see the Emperor across the table in 1500 game.... I WILL quit!

Assuming he is not just a fluff bunny...

    1. If I had to guess, they will have rules to prevent your from using Primarchs and thing along that nature in regualr games. The reason they wouldn't do it before is because it favors power armour armiess too much since they won't make anything Xeno that compares.

Regardless, I am losing my mind at the prospect of this, since prior to today it was merely a rumor that I fantasized about! I'm hoping that they do it justice though, and not just with models, but with amazing books and rules as well.

    2. Too bad I dont even own a SINGLE powered armour model. So I hope these fw models would maybe persuade me...*shutter*

But why is this happening before my Necron IA?!!!!

    1. Id assume armybooks, unique to the HH, models, primarchs, crazy rules! Lots of very neat scenarios too.

  5. A Horus Heresy Book? I guess with new Models and other nice Stuff?!

So...Shut up and take my money! ;')

  6. They are doing models over 36 releases. The books are stand alone with the 6th edition rule book as the only requirement. Sisters of silence are part of the expansion as are primarchs. They mirror the heresy black library books but focus in the battles. First release is games day uk.

    2. The Lion is in an induced coma being healed by the Watchers, Roberto is in Stasis on Ultramar, Leman Russ and Corax where both last seen heading to The Eye of Terror, Dorn was dead but has now just vanished, The Kharn is lost in the Webway, no one knows about Vulcan for sure and Mannus and Sanguineus are dead. Older edition fluff had 4 of the Primarchs guarding the nacent Star Child in The Eye of Terror.

    3. All 20 where found it has been said, The First Heretic hints that Russ and the Ultramarines had something to do with the 2 Lost Legions. Fingers crossed we get a book about that.

  9. I think both forgeworld and GW need to look to the repeating pattern of their 'word...word...word...FIRE' videos. when i see them i just weep for the death of creativity.

  10. Blimey - I never thought I'd see the day. This combined with the possibility of mini-dexes happening could lead to the greatest era of 40k I' ve ever known, and I've been reading White Dwarf since Rogue Trader!

Genuinely thrilled at the prospect of a more fluff-centric game. I've always been disappointed at the lack of detail and depth in the versions following 2nd Edition, even if I can appreciate the streamlining of the rules and retraction of ridiculous characters. Heh, I seem to remember Vincare Assassins being unstoppable!

As an aside, I recently made a rather rash and snarky comment about a rules-exploit post here. I'm glad to see the main focus of content is back on rumours/news, and many thanks to Natfka & everyone that contributes to the rumour pool for all the hard work. It's great having such up-to-date summaries of allt he latest buzz. Bravo!

  11. I know this question is out of place but ... I need one answer pls ... what is the minimun range to be attacked in a assault (is it still 2'' or is 1'') ... and if the charging unit doesn't reach that minimun range ... that unit fails to assault? ... until a next try the next turn? ...

    1. You need to end up in base to base contact. So it's 0"

Models within 2" of a friendly model in base to base, are also involved in the combat.

If you roll too few inches to make it to base to base after overwatch (potentially removing your closest attacker), you fail to charge.

  12. I'd like them to do the Primarchs with no rules. Just to collect and paint.

  13. This is very exciting. I haven't read a single Horus Heresy book, but it looks like I need to get ramped up on the Fluff in order to make the best use of Forgeworld's new Crunch.

That is, after my Cultist force is done.....

  14. I just don't understand why people think a normal Primarch is so all powerfull. They are monstrous creature...period. Being a eldar player since 2nd edition and having played with a God (Avatar) for a very long time. I don't have any hang-ups about this. I believe deamon/tyranid/csm players can relate. Primarch Deamon Prince are a entirly different conversation.

I believe this will be mostly a campaign book.

    1. Tell me about. My buddy is playing csm/deamon. In my opp I face 4 primarch every game. 3 deamon prince and a bloodthirster. Almost everyone else has monstrous creatures. Let the normal marines too.

    2. Because they pretty much are. Lorgar beat the crap out of Ann'ggrath the Unbound, an 888 point model in-game, BEFORE he became a Daemon Prince. Before he even gave himself to Chaos. And Lorgar in turn got beaten up by Corax because Lorgar was a pussy in a fight compared to the other Primarchs.

  15. I was at the seminar they said that this will not be an IA but a sort of sub series. Also necromancy are in the next IA.
