Inside the video there are several pics that are showing up, and of course I love to have more pics related to anything 40k. So here they are, pics from this mornings video, including one that discusses Primarchs.

    1. Yeah, why not? Sammael has one on his, no reason to think that jetbike squads wouldn't be able to take them.

  6. I wonder if the Heresy Ahriman will have access to "Divination"? Current rumors say his new CSM incarnation will only have Bio, Tele, Pyro, Tzeentch.

Has anyone heard if he gets access to Divination in the HH rules OR the upcoming CSM rules?

Divination Ahriman would be AMAZING. Anyone?

    1. Divination is what the Corvidae DO.

Assuming these books are congruous with the narrative series, I would think it would make more sense for a Pre-Heresy Ahriman to ONLY use Divination (a la "A Thosand Sons")

  7. Am i the only one that thinks that jetbike "borrowed" from a necron ghost ark?

    1. Except that the artwork it's based on from the Black Library Art of the Horus Heresy book, collecting art from the Sabretooth CCG predates the Ghost Ark by nearly a decade.

    2. But necrons predate the HH by millions of years ;)

  9. The thing that I'm noticing with all these models is that none of them have any purity seals or rather any excessive iconography aside from paint, almost as if the Imperium knew how their shit worked back in the day and didn't have to rely solely on prayer and voodoo to make their technology work.

    1. EXTRA Heresy...

    2. That's because they did. Up until the Horus heresy, humanity strove to bring the truth of logic, reason and science to the galaxy. There was a small cult who believed the emperor divine, even then but they didn't take over until after the battle of the emperors palace.

There were no chaplains in the SM legions because they did not need them, there were no sisters of battle either ( the only fighting women did was in the IG and the users of silence who were all untouchables)

    3. I think the first anonymous was being ironic: although no oaths of moment?

But there were chaplains - see not only the First Heretic, but Deliverance Lost for example.

    4. www.pressurespot.com explains the fluff very clearly, as well as provide for a few intresting theories

    5. I think Chaplains are more meant to uphold the values of the Legion/Chapter. The values of pre and post heresy are very different because the Emperor isn't around to guide humanity down the right path and they know it so they worship him hoping he'll fix everything because he was the only one who knew what to do. He knew that ignorance would bring the death of the Imperium (oops) which is why he discouraged worship of gods, especially himself (again, oops) and had Chaplains in the marines.
      Pre-Heresy Chaplain: Logic > Cults
      Post-Heresy Chaplain: Emperor > Cults
They still keep the marines on the straight and narrow, but they do it for a different reason now is all!

    6. It's because the equipment is only a few decades to 200 years old not thousands of years old

  10. The 'jetbike' seems a bit beefy/long (based on a great deal of older Horus Heresy art) to be just a heresy era JB?

Mayhap a new(old) light single man speeder (not supported directly by fluff though, IIRC)...
or even an attack bike option for a jetbike squadron?

  12. Wow, this is sooooo great. But it seems FW only did this because the HH stuff of all the independent producer was selling so good. I mean, they said for nearly 20 years they will never ever to danything alike this and now they coming with^the best expansion ever ;)

  13. Will there be a none limited edition of the book?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yes,

I think they're just limited at games day. Forge World will have more books to order I have no doubt. This will be their biggest earner after all.

I'm not bothered about playing the Heresy, but would love to do a Great Crusade with one of the Primarchs.

  14. Just think of all the great conversions and armies that we are going to start seeing. Even the obvious ones will be great.

  15. Still no news on how the armylists will fit into the wider game. It still seems you may have to choose between playing 40k and 30k - that would suck.

    1. The army lists will not fit in the wider game ( not in any oficial capacity anyway) the minis will though;) the heresy book are a prequal to 40k as it is now and will not be balanced against the codecis. You won't be able to use them in standard games.

  18. So much promise with this product. Glad the powers at be finally saw sense, this will be a cash cow without doubt.

That Comms Marine is such a great blast from the past, wish I knew where my old lead original had gone. Oh well just have to buy this one then. :)

  19. Anybody else look at those Terminators and think Heavy Inquisition Strike Team?

  21. I am glad to see from the pic that there looks to be a general Space Marine Legion Crusade army list. I hope this list represents a generic legion and will provide a good backbone for building lists for the legions to be included in future books. I don't think I can wait for the siege of the Emperor's Palace to build my pre-heresy Imperial Fists!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Well according to the writer each legion will have its own organization breakdown and will be influenced by the legions to reflect their history and styles not to mention options are cheaper and so are men roughly 250 for 20 marines in a Tac squad
