I really like the look of the models being released for Dark Vengeance, and on What's New Today, we have a closer look at some of the models. So here they are (note the DA Librarian is still my favorite). This is the first look I have seen that shows some of the models non-assembled bits.

Note that the GW site has closer up and full images to view, so head over and check them out.

What's New Today (yesterdays feature) was the Dark Angels HQ along with Deathwing models.

    1. The librarian is going to get a pair of Dark Eldar scourge feather wings and a Bloodletter sword to become a flying sorceror in my Chaos army. The tactical squad will have their aquilas scratched up and chaos stars painted on as newly inducted Fallen.

The company master will get a GK termie sword grafted on and a combi plasma slung across his back with pewter jewelry chain to become Azrael in my Deathwing army. I'm even gathering electronic bits from various Imperial vehicle sprues to make a command Rhino for him that I'll probably never use...

    2. I'm glad that the head for the Company master is separate, it'll make a headswap for a WoC head a bit easier!

    3. guess what.....he already packs a combi-plas

  3. I was totally going to also make some joke about some poor, hormone-controlled sap stumbling across this page on Google after expecting a much different search result. XD

  5. The Librarian appears to be missing a piece. Looks like the chest plate connects to the outstretched arm?

    1. It does, the full picture is wider than the others. The one above has cut the piece off (it should be on the left). The full pic is on the GW site though!

    1. The tac marines should be easy enough, as should the librarian. Filing off the iconography is a start and I think the usual "spikey bitz and heads" treatment will work as well as it ever did.

    1. You could just paint the da armour black to represent the fallen. Cypher wasn't an ornately chaos looking mini.

    2. Hey, that not that bad of and idea? I will have to look more in to the fallen and cypher.. I really don't know that much about him... just sort of getting in the game... thank you.

    1. Doubtful. The starter set and paint sets usually are the only push-fit models GW sell.
