The pics of what looks like all 4 sprues has now been leaked. They are a little grainy, but it does give us a first look at them.

received the limited ed. today via fed ex, had ordered it on Saturday from the GW site and received shipping confirmation number on Monday. Here is a couple pics of the sprues I took with my phone. Overall the quality of the models is fantastic. Rulebook is also nice and full color. This is the first purchase I've made from GW since the AOBR box set and glad I was able to jump on the LE as I play Dark Angels.

  3. ..........

One ought to wonder why this guy(want to call him an idiot) managed to fail to mention the rules, which is what we ARE interested in, as we DO get those sprues in ourselves in a couple of days.

Very underwhelming info this, and one of the first compeltly useless posts I have seen on this blog.

    1. Oi! No need to be so harsh. Sometimes silence (yours) is golden.

    2. Doesn't say "Rules" in the title, says sprue pics. Not sure what you're uptight about unless the Troll in you is showing.

    3. So, not bothered by the sprues as you'll get them in a few days......

      With the RULES you moron!

    4. I for one am obsessed with sprue pictures, i wish there was a high res of every sprue they sell, its how I determine what is usable/modable etc

    5. Shut up, boothy_p!

As your obviously proably aware, the sprues were already leaked by other sources, and what we are all waiting for is the rules.

Other than that, yes I was harsh. Too harsh as well, I admit.
Only annoyed that someone who actually had the sprues, again, fails to leak the rules. Its pointless. But people like boothy_p, might not have the intelligence to comprehend that...

    6. Edit: I want to clarify that I was criticising the source who, again, happenes to have the rules, and not the authour of the blog.

The entire drip drop leaking of every single source of rumour, sometimes makes me annoyed when I have not had my first cup of coffee ;)

I guess my frustration is first and foremost due to some fear, that this comming chaos codex might not be better than the Gav dex.
Crossing fingers and praying it will make my army interesting to play again though!

Though, yes, I do apologice for the crass way I managed to post my initial reaction here. It was unecessary I confess.

    7. Yeah! Go Ian! I feel exactly the same way! Rules change, but my pile of sprues will still be there when I feel like doing something with them...
"what we are all waiting for is the rules". Well, I'm not. Seriously, anon, the rules will be boring, bland, and obvious. You will get nothing interesting from the rules in here. Wait for the codex releases to complain about model pictures over rules pictures.

    8. Point 1: It says sprues. Le duh.
Point 2: its only useless to you.
To me, and others who are interested in how easy it is to split them (i.e. chaos vs. de) the sprues are useful.

Come out of your hole man, and not just to be critical...

  4. This is looking more and more like the deal of the century. For roughly 100 Canadian where I live you get:
    3-4 HQ
    3 Elites
    3 Troops
    1 Fast Attack
    *Based off current (outdated) codices

It's two INSTANT allied armies. I am starting a Dark Angel army just for these guys.

    1. I'm starting a DA army too. When you add it up there's £210 of models for £65! That's ignoring the rulebook and templates etc.

I'm very tempted to get two kits for the bikes and terminators but I want to see if I can do some converting first.

    2. I agree. I already have 48 termninators for my Deathwing, and each set has some of the pieces from the DA Vet sprue -but I may grab a set from this box and use them as my command squad version. Very nicely done.

    3. 48 termies 8-O? Just few more and you'll have full Deathwing company.

    4. I'll confess too: I've decided to start DA army as well. Tempted by idea of plasma spam whenever possible (tactical squad upgrades, plasma-dread, full plasma cannon devastators squad and so on). Any suggestions on that kind of DA army list?

  5. The sprue design is very well done, really cramming it all in, this bodes well for future plastic kits as we can expect similar levels of thought and even more stuff on same sprue sizes.

  6. Looks like converting some of those Cultists is gonna be tricky with the choice of how they are molded. Not impossible, but tricky.

I'm actually happier with the spure pics than the rules. The sprue pics have given me opportunity to plan my week of gluing following the release. <3

On a big plus note - the design of the Hellbrute looks fantastically convertable. Which I'm very happy about, I want one Khorne and one Tzeench.

  7. I'm loving these sprue's and the pics on GW's site showing them painted up.

Wondering how I get another 6-8 of those double winged bikes for my entire Ravenwing force (one per bike unit and HQ's) ... sigh ... nicely done GW.

    1. I'd wait and snag them off Ebay... people are going to be selling them off to recoup the buy-in.
