  2. Definitely liking the new more corrupted look of all these chaos mini's. Hopefully they follow up with the codex :)

  3. As someone who has ordered 3 of the starters, i am very much looking forward to the new chaos concept. The hellbrute and cultists in particular are some of the coolest models chaos will soon have. I am a huge fan of the possessed models, seeing others come into the mutated theme of chaos over spikey theme is a really big bonus for me.

I have full confidence in GW. The next chaos releases are going to be an epic surge of models. The hubris and corruption in the chaos models in the starter set are a great representation of why i fell in love with the CSM.

  4. What I really don't like in the hellbrute is the Black Legion emblem on the power fist. Never was a fan of that legion and its leaders. So far I'm trying to find a best way to alter that symbol somehow.

    1. But in all other aspects I love that model, it definitely outstands any of FW dreads. I'll keep a MM and will make few minor conversions...

    2. A simple hobby knife will shave that right off.

  5. I don't know if someone has posted this already, but here is a sneak at a basic Crimson Slaughter CSM. Scroll down. It looks darker than the starter, but it is definitely Eavy Metal's minature.http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Crimson_Slaughter

    2. That's been there for ages, well before the starter at least. I think it's from an 'Eavy Metal showcase.

  6. They've really stepped up their sculpts for this release. It's about time.

  8. I really love this one, one of the main reason I want to start a CSM force now!

    1. Whatever it is, it looks amazing even out of focus. Dreadnought with one large cannon on the front and twin linked auto cannon arms from what I can tell.

    2. its Defiler...

    3. It's just a defiler in Black Legion colors.

  10. The front looks amazing. but the back just looks god awful.
It needs less flat flesh and more servos and mechanics mingled into the flesh.
Just my opinion. But I'm definitely going to mod the back end of that guy.

  11. Would love to see one in the Iron Warrior color sceme.

  12. It just occurred to me. This guy doesn't have a heavy flamer. Is this a stealth nerf to chaos dreadnoughts?

    1. yea, you could be right. Although i think it may be in the mouth inside the PW, just like huron.

    2. I hope you're trolling...this is a STARTER SET kit & rules. It doesn't come with all the options from the codex. A "stealth nerf"? How could you even tell that from pictures?

  13. It's going to be a challenge to put on the rumored 2 autocannons on one arm, that would be the obvious best choice.

    1. Just stick plasticard barrels into the meltagun slots. Badabing badaboom. That range weapon arm is going to be super easy to convert. You either add barrel length to the current melta ones, or you just shave the melta off and add a different weapon with a tiny bit of greenstuff or plasticard.

  14. Quite a nice model. I'm already considering some conversions.

Going to shave off that head in the middle and put a Possessed Marine face in there instead. Going to use some plasticard to lengthen the toenails into proper talons. Going to shave off the multi melta and throw on longer barrels to count as the double autocannon or butcher cannon, depending on what's good, and then will probably decorate the back with a host of tiny spikes. Then I'll paint it the bright obnoxious green and blue of my slaanesh marines.

  15. I might be wrong but the symbol on its' fist isn't Black Legion, it's simply a Chaos Undivided symbol.
