More Harlequin Release Details with Prices

Here is a little more information with some pricing on what is coming to pre-orders this weekend. The Starweaver apparently will be a dual kit, the Starweaver being a dedicated transport, and a Voidweaver being a Heavy Weapons platform. Lots of coolness, and I am looking forward to what the weapon options will be for the new Harlequin Hvy Wpns platform.

remember that this is early information and should be considered rumors at this point.

    4. Hey bob! Know about any more pics from the White Dwarf? Say, some that have stats on the new vehicle?

  2. I just want the dice :P Though its not looking so likely with only 1 out of 3 rumors mentioning them.

    1. That Shadow Seer is awesome!!! Now I have to get it.

      Delete
    2. Considering how big and decorative he looks next to the other characters he fits the visual look of a HQ perfectly.

      Delete
    3. Shadowseer is definitely and HQ. Won't be surprised if the Death Jester is too.

      Delete
    4. Crouched on that massive rock the Death Jester just looks too tiny to be an HQ.

      Delete
    5. Ain't they pretty!?!?!

      Gimme! Gimme!

      And some dice!

      Delete
    6. Solitaire still pops out the most for me, but both the Death Jester and Shadowseer have been transferred to plastic brilliantly.

      Delete
    7. The Death Jester reminds me of Illic Nightspears pose.

      Delete
    8. Both the Death Jester and Shadowseer look so similar to the current Finecast versions that they almost look like conversions.

      Very cool models though.

      Delete
    9. Although not set in stone. The jester and the seer are (for now) marked under the elite slot

      Delete
    10. Where do you see where they're marked?

  5. Hey great, we have our own psychic discipline.

  6. Looks just like a venom, except 40% more expensive.

    1. You cannot deny it gets it's basic looks from the Venom, which was originally a Harlequin vehicle, but to say it looks just like it is a bit too simple of a evaluation.

I like that it blends Dark Eldar (Venom concept) with Eldar (flatter overall feel).

This model looks to be larger and more detailed than a DE Venom, so a cost increase is not unwarranted.

      Delete
    2. Yeah, $40 is worse than $30, but what's stopping you from grabbing venoms and just putting eldar weapons on them? Plus we haven't seen the sprues yet...could be some freaking awesome bits and pieces in there to make it worth the money, perhaps some bits to upgrade raiders and the like to be all harlequinny

      Delete
    3. It is a dual kit with a sort of heavy weapons platform, so there's that too.

      Delete
    4. I think the point is that copypaste design is marketed as new! Cant they at least change more to make it diffrent?

      Delete
    5. Hey look everybody, it's seb, the model design expert. Lets ignore that every single Eldar tank is based off the original Falcon hull. That every Space Marine tank is based off one of two hull types. IG have only 3 hull types and that includes the Taurox.

Real military forces value using the same base vehicle hull for multiple uses.

      Delete
    6. Yeah.... But they are supposed to be a subfraktion. Even CSM GK ect. look diffrent to "standart" SM.
Guess fanboys dont care about paying more for minor changes either.
But at least you are always quick to complain about everybody that points out obvious stuff.

This site has really reached Bols lvl of comments & readers.

      Delete
    7. Dude. Seriously. Quit it. If you're bitter, then stop Commenting and putting everybody else down when they don't agree with you. The design is wholly appropriate, given that Harlequins are a sub faction of the Eldar/Dark Eldar. It's meant to look familiar so it ties in with the rest of the army! You said it about the Stormbird, if you don't like it then don't buy it. Take some of your own advice there champ.

      Delete
    8. If seb thinks that the site's comments and readers are bad, then they are doing something right around here.

      Delete
    9. Why dont you?
I always get jumped by you two!
      What i comment doesnt matter.
Youre just out for drama caus youre some real big Internet d-bags!!!
You must bouth have real small egos to always start Bitching over ever comment.

    10. We love you too Seb :) you complete me.

  7. Are we sure the Star Weaver is a transport? I know it looks just like a craft world Venom, but look at the back where there should be space for passengers. There is no space. I know we're meant to assume Harlies climb all over the thing like Wyches and a buss in india. But it doesn't look like a transport to me.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The harlequin profile mentions they can take it as a dedicated transport.

      Delete
    2. Fair enough, guess it's just a weird backing

      Delete
    3. It looks more believable than a Wave Serpent holding 12 guys or a Rhino holding 10 Power Armored Marines.

      Delete
    4. not really any less space than a DE Venom, but the bar at the back makes it look a little smaller.

      Delete
    5. I suspect the arch at the back of the Starweaver might be a webway portal. There's no room for even a Troupe of five.

      Delete
    6. Well it's the same case for a venom, theirs no space for the models but pictures show them all over it like a buss in India. Hanging off the sides and what not. That arch cuts away a lot of head room. Unless it is a portal.

    1. ...Not the Last week. WE have photo evidence of a new Death Jester and Shadowseer, neither of which is up for Preorder this week (on Friday) so unless GW plans a huge tease with no release, there is at lease one more week of harlequins. Hopefully with yet another surprise we have yet to see. (i.e. Great Harlequin)

    2. I so hope you are right ... i don't want the shadowseer to be the only HQ if he even is ...

    4. but seriously this isn't the time or location to spam foreign games ... email feit ... he will gladly announce it and promote it weekly or monthly with some luck ... he likes new games

      Delete
    5. I am surprised it has not hit the main page yet, it has been on BOLS all day. But a 40K thread is not the place.

      Delete
    6. It's a friendly heads up for people who might be interested, not rampant promotion. This isn't exclusively a 40k blog and people post about Fantasy in 40k threads and vice versa all the time, so no need to be uptight about "foreign games," whatever that means. Let's not turn into wargaming UKIP here!

      Delete
    7. ...well this particular thread is a 40k post, and those threads that do include fantasy tend to have some relation.

  10. I gotta say, while I'm usually on the "For GW" side of most pricing arguments, I'm going to be pretty miffed if we are getting a full priced Codex that only has 6 Dataslate entries in it...

    1. I don't know why anyone would want Banshees in their current form, given Harlequins are so much better in nearly every way.

      Delete
    2. ^^this. Which is a shame, I love Banshees. They look amazing. And they used to be amazing in combat as well. I'm sure they'll get some love in the future though.
