Horus Heresy Weekender Under Way- Lots of Images

There is a lot going on if you are in Nottingham this weekend. The Horus Heresy Weekender is under way, and there are some big things being revealed.... like the Mechanicus Ordinatus. That is just huge, and one of those models that were previously only available in epic. The model will be incredible, and I just can't wait to see just how big this this is.

There is a lot being revealed. Here are some of the images coming out.... There are others, and to see more, head on over to Battle Bunnies and see their latest pics coming out of the event.

  1. I'm in love with that Interceptor.

  2. Apart from the obviously incredible and unexpected Ordinatus I'd say my favourites so far are the Solar Auxilia command, just amazingly detailed models.

All looking great and I can't wait to see more tomorrow, Primarchs anyone?

    1. IG now looks like marines!
      Just what we needed.

Other than being armoured humans they look nothing like marines, that's a patently ridiculous statement.

I do wonder sometimes if you actually look at the pics before you comment on them or if you just have a stock of negative or inflammatory comments you use at random when it comes to GW products, there's all these incredibly detailed and visually impressive models that talented people have worked hard to create and the only thing you do is criticise...

    3. I agree. The Solar Aux models have really been top notch so far. In terms of infantry, HH has been the gift that keeps on giving.

  3. That bottom pic looks like it could be a new Skaven beastie.

    1. Na, it's Samus from the H.H. novels.

    2. A Daemon who pops up from time to time in the Heresy books. Sometimes literally just as a whisper, or in this case fully manifested on Calth.

    3. It's a daemon from the Horus Heresy novels.

It's banished by Loken in and an Ultramarine (who's name escapes me) later.

Seem to recall he's mentioned in Fear to Tread too.

This model is quite exciting, as the way the character is introduced into the series is very well done and quite unnerving.

    4. It appears quite a lot in the Metroid games too

    5. I do not want to see this Samus out of armour!

    7. Samus is the Satan of old Terra.

    8. Let's hope he makes it to 40k! Since daemons can't be killed (in theory) he should still be alive. What size base is he on do you think?

    9. It looks too big for a 60mm to me so unless there's a bigger round one I haven't heard of then I'd say it's a 5in like what the Hierodules come on or some new size

    10. Samus is the man beside you
Samus will gnaw on your bones
      Watch Out! Samus is here!

    12. Samus reminds me of the Ghost of Jack the Ripper from the Original Star Trek Episode. Wolf in The Fold.

    13. Samus also popped up in one of the Gaunt's Ghosts books.

  5. I was thinking that the interceptor looked more like an escort from some rag-tag fugitive fleet looking for terra while fleeing necrons...

    1. Oh man, I was really excited for a second there; I've been looking forward to then doing a Stormbird for a while and then it turns out to be a jazzed-up Thunderhawk model-wise and in my head I heard the disappointed trumpet sound. Oh well one thing I don't have to worry about saving up for.

    2. Yep that and the Raven Guard bits are the disappointment so far for me.

    1. isn't a stormbird just a conversion someone did because they didn't like the stormtalon (raven- the non transport SM flyer)? if so it seems FW liked what they saw in that particular conversion/kitbash. IIRC it was made from a Valkyrie kit.

      Delete
    2. Stormbird was the predecessor of the Thunderhawk, even bigger.

      Delete
    3. Yeah its an add on kit to the thunderhawk. It does for the thunderhawk what the storm eagle does for the storm raven.

  11. holy crap is that a FW model that isnt imperial
its been literally ten thousand years

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. ......... technically alot of this is chaos stuff aswell as imperial......

      Delete
    2. .......technically a lot of FW Chaos stuff is just the loyalist models with new bits or iconography slapped on it. A lot of Chaos players would kill for an original vehicle model that isn't just some daemonically possessed walker, a refugee from EPIC, vehicle doors, conversion bits or something similar. And even then I have to remind myself that there are factions that get worse treatment than Chaos does.

    1. Christ you must have some big pens, I'm guessing you'd have to write with both hands to be able to hold the thing ;)

    1. Woah, a Stormbird! An actual Stormbird...is this not a first? I don't recall seeing a picture of one at all, ever, and now a model...

      Delete
    2. I'm really disappointed by it, the descriptions and imagery from the books suggested it should nothing like a Thunderhawk.

      Delete
    3. Kinda same here...should be bigger and a lot more sleek.

  15. Cool stuff, look forward to that interceptor in my space marine army.

    However.

How about interrupting the torrent of human centric stuff with a xenos model here and there. Maybe even every third kit? I mean, did we need yet another battletech...I mean imperial walker?

    1. Forgeworld are understandably Heresy focused, it's their baby and that means humans. For 40k we've just got the Harlequins!
