  4. I am sad that I don't see a blade, only a spear option on that sprue. I'm also sad to see that it is obviously a male model. I would really REALLY like to see a new female farseer.

June Eldar everybody. For my Birthday.

    4. Wouldnt sell!
GW cant make Models erotic caus their Main Customers are minors.
And who would buy a non sexy Gemälde Fraseer?

    5. I got Daemons so guess where all of my birthday money went...

    6. Warlord, being female does not mean it has to be sexy -.-
There are plenty of female GW models, the high elf leak has a few itself. If you're seriously saying that people can't stand the presence of even an imitation of a woman, then we're all doomed!

Maxis Lithium: I feel you, it's a shame when they don't give options on these sprues when we see others that have. Obviously it'd be a pain trying to sculpt a new chest and the detail back on so maybe you could convert mixing this farseer with one of the new high elf females and a dire avenger sword?

    8. I know, but the best way to troll the troll is with reasonable, well explained responses without resorting to nerd rage ;)

    9. It would be very easy to make the spear into a sword. Just cut the end ball off, then cut the shaft into behind his hand and finally re-attach the ball just behind his hand. Walla a sword!

    10. I got HE for my birthday ... and I don't even play ... them ... well tau came a month earlier ^^

    11. I have really felt the some way about some of these new plastic characters. It's weird and sad that they don't have any options for head or weapons. They are also too static in their poses.

  5. Im betting there will be supply issues with this release as well

I'm going to personally cause them.

  6. Yes, it's not finecast! Better dust off my Eldar army for June. More plastic please.

  7. How do we know thats REALLY an eldar farseer? It resembles more of a squat like figure to me.

    1. If we didn't know you so well.....id be saying 'obvious troll is obvious' right about now

  8. Well, I'll take one! The new plastic HQ's are great, cheap, awesome quality and not Finecast!
Here's to hoping Runes of Warding stays the same, although I sincerely doubt that.

    1. You wouldn't need it anyway. Eldar are getting plenty of new goodies, so the old broken standbys can disappear.

  9. why plastic.... I'm a bit confused i thought all the current HQ character type models were in resin? or have i just not been to a store in a couple of years lol

    1. I think you've not been to a store for a couple of years. The last few 40K releases and a lot of previous Fantasy releases have plastic characters.

      Delete
    2. Most are, there are a few exceptions though. Tau Cadre Fireblades, and Daemon Heralds of Nurgle, for instance. And then you've got single plastic characters like Chaos Marine aspiring champions. they aren't the majority but they are out there.

    3. Good question
They should have made a Box with 5 farseers and all weapons.
This Model is nice but Not much diffrent than what everybody allready has in Metal Form a 100 Times. They Could havd at least made a New Pose.

I Wonder why they dont go for SM ICs First! At least they sell

      Delete
    4. Why plastic? Because GW wants to phase out also the resin (from new releases, that is) and go all-plastic in the foreseeable future.

    5. Special characters are finecast, generic characters are the candidates for plastic. Fantasy especially.

Warlord, it's a new sculpt that we haven't seen built. It's similar, sure, but it has non-blocky hands and probably looks a heck of a lot better! And they kinda did SM characters. Remember the plastic Space Marine Commander kit? First plastic HQ. Or how about the plastic command squad? Even chaos has their plastic terminator lord/sorcerer kit. You wouldn't field 5 farseers (even above 2000 points) so that as a kit would be redundant!

  10. He'd make a good Bel Annath from IA11. Come oooon June!!

    ty Natfka so excited!!

  11. It's official. GW decides what leaks and what doesn't. Any new Eldar model would get the fans frothing so they throw us a Farseer instead of a new Wraithguard or flyer.
    This is not a complaint.
    So geeked!!

    1. Flyers have tended to get the fans frothing for all the wrong reasons. ;)

Seriously, why is it that FW gets all the good-looking flyers and the GW ones look horribad (apart from the Valkyrie, but then again it was originally a FW kit)?

    2. I completely agree, even the "leaked calendar" seems to have some regularity now: we have those pictures about one month and a half before the official release...

  12. Looks like it could very well be based off of the Farseer artwork in the current Eldar codex, albeit with a spear instead of a staff. Methinks I shall be buying one... at least one, that is.

  13. I got a whole Eldar army from ebay for my Bday...!

  14. Not the Copyright GW 2012 sign on the right. So the models were actually done for a while, yes?
However, Plastic Farseer if great :) I'm sure Eldar will have the best psyker codes - they deserve it!

    1. Check the copyright on the inside of the Tau Codex. ;)

I will be surprised when we start seeing 2013.

  15. Just when I bought my finecast one. Well, can't hurt to have two.

  16. I'd be using the male option anyway; but would it really have killed them to include a female torso~~?

    ReplyDelete
  17. WHY did they devote resources to a model that DIDN'T NEED a plastic kit?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It was a finecrap model before. It needed it on that basis alone

  18. Again from Facebook:
    Sanguinius Prime- price is £12.

  19. that is no farseer O.O ... June can't come much earlier now ... the head tells another story if you chech it better ... is gonna be epic when eldar tau and dark eldar has full set of models

    ReplyDelete
  20. That looks more like a warlock than a farseer, and makes more sense since warlocks are more numerous than farseers.
