Next Week's Pre-Orders- Cult Mechanicus and a Hint of Nurgle?

Next weeks pre-orders are very early, as we usually do not get wind of them for another couple days. However the new Cult Mechanicus has made a big splash, so it was more than likely intentional that we would see these. Those new Kastelan Robots are just punishment for anything that is not a terminator.

Does anyone get the idea that the Admech have specialized weaponry to kill just about anything..0...?

Please remember that these are rumors at this point.

    1. I dunno... Hordes of Daemons was one of the weekly hints and it was just a painting guide I think (or something like that). It doesn't make sense to drop Nurgle in the MIDDLE of the Cult Mechanicus release. Maybe afterwards.

    2. Poison attacks to hurt the robots

    3. It's only a painting article. Nothing more. No GUO, no Plague Marines, no Nurgle Daemonkin. Just some pictures and an article of someone's cool Nurgle army.

    4. its cool to air your opinions and all, but jesus fuck almost every comment on this page that has a responce includes you telling people its just a painting article. give it a fucking rest.

    5. @DrBored Agree albeit in a less colourful way with Adam. Spamtastic man. Poor show.

    6. We've seen the models coming up for Cult Mechanicus, so I would expect it to be highly unlikely to have a Nurgle model drop before we see all the other models (and Dex) from the poster. Sounds like a fluff article to me.

    7. But guys... painting guide. He said it like 20 times. That makes him more correct doesn't it?

  2. So what's that in real money then?

    :P

Seriously though £'s people. I'm guessing around £40 ish... No?

    2. It will be £40 which isn't to bad, I would rather have a sing fw one than one off those uglies

      Delete
    3. Converter is useless. Convert pounds and euro-"dollars" to US dollars with the new Knight prices, and you find the US paying a premium on those models (just over $20 more than they should be).

If people want their local currency, which is just as "real" as US dollars or any other paper currency, they can bug someone in their own region or country to leak info.

    4. Kastelan Robots will be:
      £42, 55€, USA $69

  3. How does it make sense to have 1 week of CM, just the robots and no codex. Then a week of nurgle after? Wouldn't the next 3 weeks at least be just Mechanicus stuff? I know its just a rumor but I want to see the Cult Mechanicus done and over with not spread out.

    1. The first hint says "the forge worlds" so I'm guessing that's more Admech.

      Delete
    2. Could be referring to a contributor's featured army (photos and comments), or somesuch.

      Delete
    3. Yeah, it's definitely not Nurgle minis. First off, we would have heard more rumors. And second, they wouldn't split the Cult Mechanicus release like that.

      Delete
    4. Did you just accuse GW of making sense?

      Delete
    5. Relax. It's just a painting feature.

      Delete
    6. I doubt it's painting as they tend to link painting with the new releases. someone's army maybe or my guess from the name is a fluff article.

  4. YES COME MY CHILDREN WE WILL SPREAD THE BLESSINGS OF GRANDFATHER NURGLE ACROSS THE SECTOR. wait a new GUO? but there is no mention of a daemonkin book.

    2. I'd expect him to be totally wrong, fluff makes more sense.

    1. Yeah I think Tzeentch players were getting trolled... at least when it came to Dark Angels>Tzeentch up next

    2. Don't worry, chill out, Tzeentch is still next, this is just a painting feature.

      Delete
    3. But what of Dark Angels!?! =(

    4. I will NOT chill out. It was 60 degrees in Florida and I want warmth sir.

    3. Credibility? Are you questioning whether he's a legitimate Doctor?

      Delete
    4. I'm very, very confident this is a painting feature. If I'm wrong, you can sing it to the heavens never to trust a Dr. Bored rumor ever again ;3

  8. It could just be another picture feature or something. We have had those hinted in the last couple WDs.

Mostly I would be shocked if we got another Ad. Mech release, which is almost assured, AND a new Nurgle release right in the middle.

    ReplyDelete

    1. It is just another painting feature, just like the last 'Tide of Daemons' was just a really cool Chaos Daemon army. This is the same, but it's someone's neat Nurgle army.

All the Cult Mechanicus stuff will be one block of releases, uninterrupted. Nurgle Daemonkin isn't going to be till either late this year or sometime next year.

  9. in fluff the ad0mech keep all the best stuff for themselves and deliberatly have built up a vast armory of anti-marine weapons incase they end-up being attacked by marines again

    1. Makes you wonder who wields the most actual power in the Imperium, both political and electrical.

      Delete
    2. To be honest, the Ad Mech have got it good. They're untouchable. They have their own religious beliefs and nobody can do anything about it or the Mechanicus will take their toys away. Mechanicus guys kill some imperial guys who are in their way? Can't retaliate or they'll take your toys away (and kick your ass)

Truth is, no Mechanicus, no Imperium. They have the monopoly on ALL weapons, vehicles, ships, construction, coffe machines etc. you cross the Mechanicum, you lose all that.

They have the control of all Tech to ensure you never cross them, and enough firepower to ensure you never even think about it.

      I love the Mechanicus!

    3. Without one, the other would die. Doesn't matter which. Without Astropaths and Navigators the Forgeworlds would be isolated and picked off. Without the manpower and skill of the Guard and Astartes they would be overwhelmed. But as you say without the technology they supply, the Imperium would die too. Symbiotic relationship.

    6. +1 Maeglin. That's why I find the Imperium so interesting; it's like a Jenga stack that could topple at any moment. Remove one brick and it all comes tumbling down.

Always loved how the Mechanicus, Astartes etc. are all basically autonomous organisations too. Admech or Space Marines pretty much have carte blanche to do as they please, with the Inquisition only getting involved in really blatant, serious cases.

Man, I need to dig out my Imperium army and have some games =P

  10. I want to get excited by Nurgle, but it's probably just going to be a picture spread or painting tutorial or something. Sigh, all I want is Nurgle Daemonkin and I'll be a happy camper.

    1. Maybe new GUO and Daemonkin, would mean no new unit models though. A drag considering the Eldar releases and Knights, they could try and make these Daemonkin codexes feel like less of an afterthought.

      Delete
    2. An afterthought is all they will be until GW can rework Chaos from the ground up, which is long overdue.

      Delete
    3. Don't get excited. It's just a painting feature.

  11. Chillax people. No GUO after Cult Mechanicus. No Plague Marines. No Nurgle Daemonkin.

    3. I really don't want the rumormill to all of a sudden explode with Nurgle garbage, only for everyone to get disappointed and start saying 'But where's my Nurgle stuff?' like the Dark Angels and Sisters of Battle players are already doing.

      Delete
    4. But seriously, where IS my Dark Angels stuff? =P

      Delete
    5. To be fair, GW creates the hype by listing something as "Scions of Nurgle" rather than listing something that would allude to it simply being a gallery. Makes it sound much more exciting than it really is...

    Haha!

  20. Crazy idea, but maybe GW want to release more plastic demons other than the bloodthirster before WHFB 9 drops?

Would kind of make sense in a post ET world for driving narrative and again will keep the 40k fanboys happy (seeing as they share the models) until they get some love again in autumn/winter, as i doubt there will be anything more than maybe a one week clampack release for 40k when WHFB 9 gets under way....
