    1. Ohhhhhhhh hell yessssss... or whatever version of hell the Adeptus Mechanicus believe in. System crash? Data loss purgatory? Unreadable sector perdition?

  5. Same as current Knight point costs with Gatling Cannon and Power fist, Icarus Auto Cannons price is the same as a stock Rhino. A bit over priced considering no ranged D, and recent D saturation but still looking fun to play!

    1. Interesting to not is a Flame or Melta Weapon in place of the chest mounted Heavy Stubber

      Delete
    2. fist one extra meltagun
      melta one extra Hstubber
      missile blast 3 meltaguns
      missile non blast 4 meltaguns
      icarus 7 Hstubbers
warden a LoW for some reason

      Delete
    3. Warden as a LOW makes me think the Knight detachment will be a series of LOW slots.

      Delete
    4. Not sure you got that straight. All the knights now start with the chainsword as the CC weapon, with the possible exception of the CC variant. Then the fist is an upgrade for XX points. Flamer is not an upgrade for the stubber, only melta is.

  6. Heck, just being able to throw tanks around is making me happy!

  7. Power Fist is Initiative 1 though. Chainsword is so much better, only reason to take a PF is the cool factor.

    1. Unless you are running the Gallant, which gives you both (and an extra attack I assume, for having two melee weapons)

      Delete
    2. there is no gallant, just baron which completes the imperial knight range

      Delete
    3. aracersss is false^^

it's Paladin, Errant, Gallant, Warden, Crusader

    4. this is the only proof I can give ...

      http://i.imgur.com/LtfIbNp.png

... otherwise there is no mention of gallant in these leaks

      Delete
    5. there is ... look at my link, read the description of the new Knights box ...

"Warden, Crusader und Gallant lassen die Reihen der Imperial Knights anschwellen"

so yep, there are three new versions - Warden, Crusader and Gallant ;)

  8. So we only get 1 Datasheet in the WD? Looks like GW has learned from its mistakes.

  9. The Rule of Cool wins for me!

  10. Yeah it's a shame it doesn't gets ap- on the hurl, but I guess you take it for +1 attack for the chainsword, cool factor, and if you play against horde armies with these guys

    ReplyDelete
  11. When I read the Hurl ability, I could only picture a Knight balling up a dead Carnifex and going bowling for Gaunts.

    1. I watched a 40k game back in 3rd ed. where a Carnifex threw a Rhino straight over its back. That was when vehicle wreckage could scatter in a random direction. Coolest 40k moment ever, back then.

    2. Back during 2nd edition, I blew up some Ork Bikers with some Spore Mines launched from a Biovore. I sent them hurtling out of control and one of them went right at Ghazghkull Thraka, running him over and killing him.

    3. @ Starchild - That does indeed sound epic. 3rd Edition was a little before my time.

@ Man of La Mancha - I'd have paid good money to see that happen.

  12. Wow! These just look awesome! It's a shame I've recently spent all my money! It looks like two new face plates? Also new brushes! Yes please! My Christmas list is written...

    1. For 1/3 of the price you can high quality brushes from companys that actually do brushes as their main product!
The GW paint stuff usually ducks balls!

  13. Small detail but there's also Mechanicus symbols on the chassis instead of eagle heads.

    Looks great.

    1. Perfect. That will look much better for my House Taranis knight with Mars Skitarii.

    2. You've always had the option of a imperial aquilla, mechanicus cog or freeblade emblem for your knight depending on how you would like to model it

      Delete
    3. @nighfury.

Completely different part of model. Not the carapace - the chassis.

  14. I hope there's an option to do gatling cannon with the chainsword arm, I'm not a huge fan of the fist but I love the gatling gun arm. (I know there's one with two gun arms, but that just looks a little silly to me for some reason)

    ReplyDelete

    1. The only thing I have a beef with is the understrength gatling. How does that huge thing have the same S6 as the assault cannon that tucks under the comparatively tiny Terminator's right arm?

      Delete
    2. As far as I understood from the german entries the Gatling Knight comes with a sword as standard, and the fist is an upgrade.

As for the Cannon Sizes... Well The tank barrel auto cannon looks to be the same size as the gatling thing, and GW gun sizes never really made sense, and seem to beek changing in size based on what model it's on.

      Delete
    3. Gattling doesnt look to good to me considering i dont face marines much & i can get a gun emplacment for 75pts.

  15. Gotta laugh!

The fanboys on here tryed to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about when I stated that these so new knights would be bigger and better than their previous incarnation.

I told you plain and simple that you would not be getting a bigger or more armoured knight that could stand head to head and physically take on a Dreamforge Leviathan. Yet! "joe idiot fanboys" came out trying to contradict me, based on nothing more than the wishlist in their own heads, rather than reality!

What you get is more weapons and more crap hanging off the damn thing.

A war machine ??? A ponced up, walking christmas decoration!!!

Give me a mean stocky workman like machine anyday of this baubles and bangles performer from the Ringling Bros Circus.

Oh, and BTW, how did I know about this before hand? I live in Nottingham and the new guy on my pub quiz team just happens to have been a draughtsman at GW here in Nottingham for the last 21yrs.

    Fanboys! Eh!

    1. that dreamroge leviathan models are ugly as hell ;)

      Delete
    2. No, you just said that the Dreamforge Leviathan was a better model. Many of us disagreed. Because the Leviathan is an ugly, cheap action figure.

    3. +1 Thomas.

@ Wolfgang: also that was in between your tirade including internet threats of "if this was real life, this biker would...." also nice new chapter of your life story but as i mentioned (i think) then and i mention now: which chapter do you stfu and gtfo?

    5. time to move on Wolfgang you already lost once you resort to physical threats on the Internet.

    6. If you compare the kits side by side there is not much diffrence.
Its not like GW uses better plastic or has more detail. The diffrence is ONLY minimal stuff.
But this is 40k. People will always see the official GW with blurred eyes. And they will tell you GW has a good prices & everything els they dont have.
      Its always like that.

      Delete
    7. I don't think that anyone will tell you that GW has good pricing for the most part.

But I will say that when I was in a local toy shop buying Gruffalo stuff for my daughter there were cheaply made plastic knights on horseback in there and they were £20 each. A Thomas The Tank Engine railway set was almost £200. It's like GW set the tone and the rest of the world caught up.

  16. Omnissiah damn you GW! You heartless sons of Binary know damn well that I'm trying to stockpile Data for the upcoming open day, and now you Cog suckers are going to release the Cult Mec codex!?

I'm at a vulnerable point in my Data Cycle here and I'm trying to purge all Mechanicum info from my Data Banks!

    *re-reads comment*

    ... OH COG DAMN IT!

  17. hmmm... Did anyone read the part with prices? There are two sets mentioned, old one for current price and new one. I can't understand the description of the new one - it makes 3 new variants, ok, but does also make old variants as well?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. yep, you can make the Paladin/Errant too with the new set (and they can exchange their chainsword for the gauntlet, and may take carapace wargear now)

      Delete
  18. So of guess the rumours about the fantasy box set were a bunch of crap then..

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yeah, the dreamforge thing is garbage. Look at the stuff I had posted here the other week, tell me those cheap things will look as good.

Funny thing, I have already a knight converted with the gatling gun, so it gives me options. Will start converting Icarus arrays tonight.
