A normal blog spotlight post has 5 new blogs to the Faeit 212 BlogExchange, however this week, its a little light. The BlogExchange is a great way to discover new blogs, so make sure you take a few moments to check out the weekly additions.

New This Week, I am going to start adding in a blogging tip of the week. I get a lot of requests for suggestions, and I think that this will help quite a few people in the community.

So what is the Blog Exchange? It is basically an exchange of blogs on each others blog rolls. Its that simple. The search engine beneath the blog roll is also set so that readers may do a search on all the blogs on the exchange for whatever it is that they are interested in. So if your blog is being added, Mondays is when I spotlight each new blog to the exchange. The purpose of the Faeit 212 BlogExchange is to generate traffic and ideas to the wider community of Warhammer related blogs around the world.

Things to think about. Blogging Tip of the Week.
Updating frequently means different things to different people, and yet it is one of the most important things to take into consideration when starting or maintaining a blog.

Its important to take into consideration that if you post too frequently, you may bury information on your site, before your readers have a chance to read it. By the time they get to it, any conversation and discussion in the comment sections is old news. Unless there is something that catches a readers eye, posts that are 3-4 articles old tend to get frequented much less in general.

At the same time, readers will only frequent if there is something new to read. Finding balance between how often you post up new articles is important for your site, and you.

  1. Thanks for linking and following. For a small hobby blogger these links help to get more readers (and to stay motivated). I often find some interesting stuff in blogrolls :)

To your tip: I completely agree. I tested it out with my last posts: In general I have two columns which I post twice a week and help me to share/show stuff with/to my readers.
But if I want stuff to be more "prominent" I cancel them and give the more important articles some time to "breath". This also gives crawlers for SEO (e.g. Google) some time to catch your content.

  3. On that note, I reckon you have the post frequency just about nailed. I usually check on here about once a day and find roughly 2-4 new posts each time. Which is generally enough to be worth popping on, without being too much to bother reading.
