New artwork is here from the Black Library by Neil Roberts. This is the cover of an upcoming audio book called Honour to the Dead, by Gav Thorpe.

  1. Awesome looking. I can't recall seeing art work of titans fighting in close combat before. You always see them depicted with fire support configurations.

  2. I hope there's eventually a quality movie with something like this in it.

    1. Have you seen the trailer for "Pacific Rim"? Giant Robots versus Giant Monsters.

    2. I was just thinking the same thing. If there's one thing I love more than giant robots, it's giant robots fighting giant monsters.

  4. The Titans in the art look like the old curved plastic Warlord titans as well - a nice touch.

  5. I know the plot of Honour To The Dead. I posted it on the blog L'Astropate a few months ago.
It's an anthology as Mark of Calth or Age of Darkness and is set on Calth.
    There are three short stories.
I don't remember the details of the first, but there are Astartes vs Astartes.
In the second story, human population fight against the Astartes.
And in the Third.....there is the Titan battle you see in the cover :)

  6. I'd quite like to see a return of Adeptus Titanicus. That was fun. Fielding 7 warlord/reader/warhound titans and taking on the enemy was really rather groovy. Small forces so everything was vital also easy to paint and get on the table quickly.

    1. That would be an excellent candidate for the mystery box. Hopefully GW noticed Dreadfleet didn't sell as well as Space Hulk (loved both personally, although I tend to ignore wind in dreadfleet for ease of play with others :P) and remember Adeptus Titanicus. It'd have nostalgia appeal (which I think they were trying for in a 'man of war' way with dreadfleet) and if I remember right, AT was set in the Horus Heresy so it's another way to cash in on the hype!

    2. I'd snap that up like hot cakes, Dreadfleet - not for me, Man O'War would have been a lot better and with expansion credibility too. Why oh why?

AT - mega. Want it. WANT IT!

  8. This is amazing art work, but I don't hold out much hope as the quality of the story. Maybe it's just a style thing, but I've never warmed to Gav Thorpe's work.
