This is a Skarred Abomination from the game Dark Age. While I will be going more into it later, I wanted to show this model off with a little preview image. It is by far the coolest model I have put together in quite awhile.

  5. Hope it looks better painted than unpainted, the tech used to make it must be 20 years old

    1. how do you figure the tech is 20years old to make the model?

    2. I'd have too agree, I can't say I like the model, at all. It does lookz somewhat dated.

    3. +1, those models are no where the exquisite level of detail apparent in 40k models made in the last 10 years. As a concept it may have looked cool.

    4. I can just think of the Combined Army for Infinity, they have sone truly fantastic lager minaitures. I think Corvus Beli does an amazing job with Inifinity though.

    5. We definitely like a different aesthetic Callum, which is fine. I tend to find the infinity game models a little bland, although I will admit to never having or seeing one in person. (ive checked out their model lines from their website.)

    6. I ment there is little or no moulded detail, look at that silver blob in the the middle of it

  6. Would actually make a nice proxy for a Chaos Dreadnought (I refuse to use the name Helbrute) or Penintent Engine.

    1. the model is quite a bit larger than a dreadnought, it sits on an 80mm base.

  7. It took me a good 20 seconds to figure what I was looking at. It looks like a penitent engine to me.

  8. Planning to get into this soon, but now I can't decide between core or undead mayans.

    1. The Core look fun, I don't yet know too much about the Kukulkani (undead Mayans). I did check out the latest previews though on the Kukulkani models that are being released, and they are pretty cool.

  10. Interesting. But I'm not a fan of metal at all; actually I think the only thing worse than metal models are hybrid ones... oh wait, that's what this is.
