I am sure everyone knows what Ard Boyz is, but just encase you live in a cave in the US or Canada, or possibly elsewhere in the world: Ard Boyz is a tournament held in stores across North America. Its 3 games at 2500pts that runs off of Battlepoints to determine a top three. Those top 3 are sent to the semi-finals where if you win there you get the option to attend the final championships.
The missions are pretty cut and dry.
The first is a straight up Kill Point game, with a prisoner of war, who counts for 5 kps.
The second is an objective game, with 5 objectives and Board Quarters
The third is a victory point game.
Prize support has always been pretty cool for Ard Boyz, unless you are in the finals, and there is no entry fee to play at Ard Boyz. There is no comp, and models do not even need to be painted (I wish they would change the painting part). The only thing is how well you play the game.
In critique of the battlepoint system, it really comes down to, how well can you table your opponent for Ard Boyz games. A win loss system is always much better. However, I always have fun with them.
