Lots of new models coming for Slaanesh this weekend including 3 new endless spells and the Fane of Slaanesh. Lets take a look at them.

The Wheels of Excruciation

The Wheels of Excruciation are a simple enough concept, albeit rendered in a typically flamboyant, Slaaneshi style. Don’t let that fool you though, they’re definitely deadly, and a nifty pick in any Slaanesh list. With a low casting value of 5, it’s very easy to set up, allowing you to shred lightly armoured enemies with ease.

Mesmerising Mirror

The Mesmerising Mirror is one of the most unusual endless spells in the game – woe betide any enemy Hero who dares come close to it! Units close to this endless spell must move closer still or be hit with mortal wounds, making it great for messing with your opponent’s mobility. Meanwhile, the Gaze Not into its Depths ability is unpredictable but potentially very lethal, dealing up to 36 mortal wounds to nearby Heroes with an especially lucky (or unlucky, depending on your perspective!) roll.

Dreadful Visage

The Dreadful Visage has two purposes on the battlefield. First and foremost, it’s a reliable source of mortal wounds, great for chipping away at particularly stubborn foes and softening them up for the rest of your forces to get stuck in. Secondly, it inflicts a small but welcome penalty to the Bravery of non-Slaanesh units – paired with other Bravery-reducing choices like some Slaanesh-marked Chaos Knights or a Slaanesh Chaos Lord on Manticore, and you can set up some truly devastating battleshock tests. Just be careful not to accidentally hit your own units!

The Fane of Slaanesh

Like other army-specific scenery, the Fane of Slaanesh costs no matched play points and is a core part of how the Slaanesh army works. For one, it’ll allow you to make the most of your depravity points by refunding you when you summon allies within 12″ of it – for best results, combine it with multiple fast-moving units that don’t cost a lot of depravity points, like Seekers or Seeker Chariots.
The second effect of the Fane of Slaanesh is a bit more unusual. You’ll be able to empower your Heroes temporarily by sacrificing their Wounds to it – or gain re-rolls to hit for the entire game by offering up your artefact of power!

You’ll be able to add these endless spells and the Fane of Slaanesh to your army this weekend when they go on pre-order!
