Games Workshop has cranked up the softcover releases just in time for people to get the books they want before Christmas. Shield of Baal: Leviathan and End Times Khaine which are sold out in the hardcover formats will be released December 13th.
While the difference for Hardback and Softcovers is not that much difference, the primary reason for the softbacks seems to be availability, and getting them out to the customers that still want to the book.
Please remember that this is early information and still must be taken as rumors, even though it looks very solid.
