Battle Report: Scourge vs UCM
This is a Battle Report from earlier this year, with my Scourge against David Lewis playing the UCM. David is the creator of the Dropzone Commander, and he really knows his game well, and how to make sure he is getting the most out of his units.
While its been posted here before, it was one of my favorite battles of the year. The reason for bringing it up, is the topic of the Ferrum Drone Base, and its power came up in the comment section. This was a 1500pt game, and occurred before the release of ReConquest Phase 1, which means that the rules were slightly more powerful than they are now for unit.
While the Doom Fridge is a strong unit, it can be relatively nullified in its power by some creative play and removal of some drones. I have had this issue in using them for my own UCM as well. There are only 6 rounds in a game, and once a section of the drones are taken out, getting them all together into a solid group can be very difficult.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy the video battle report. It was put together by Reecius of Frontline Gaming back in May. The UCM army is the studio army from Blue Table Painting, who also painted my Scourge army that you see in the video.
