Here we have the first set of leaked pics for the new Necrons. They come to us via the Beasts of War and how they got them is up for speculation, but who cares. Check these awesome pics out!!!!

I will keep adding more as I recieve them. Keep checking as I find more and more.

Edit: Ok, I can barely keep up with these updates as I receive more and more pics. I just added praetorians. I will keep adding more as it comes, however I am not going to be updating the text anymore.

  1. Looking at the vehicle it seems like the sprue will be similar to the Talos/Chronos: one kit, multiple ways to assemble it.

The large cannon in the ribcage looks like it could lay down some serious pain.

Not that there was ever any doubt that Necrons are basically Tomb Kings in space but the new Lords seem a little too Egyptian to my liking.

The snipers on the other hand are pretty sweet looking. Can't wait to see the stats and point costs on all the new toys...

  4. Very cool... but the transport paint scheme looks a tad too Dark Eldar'ish color wise for my new DE army to be comfortable with! Black with glowing green hi-lights are so last year...

  5. RRArrrgh! awesomeness. 5th of november is Necron Day!!!

  6. OMG I already love those! Kinda like Dark Eldar in vehicle color scheme, which is a little bit odd, although they look really awesom! Can't wait to have the codex in hands... GW finally learned how to make decent miniatures (starting new DE models). Awesome, awesome, pure awesomeness.

  7. I love the detail.

Anyone else think that loin cloth on that Necron Overlord on the right looks a bit like he had to butcher a Dark Eldar wytch and steal her razorflail to make? ^_^ (I've got an army back story idea brewing already!!!)

  8. From staring intently at the pictures I think its safe to say Beastsofwar got an early White Dwarf some how... Must learn their secrets!

  9. man that stuff looks awesome. Kind of regret selling my necrons now. Still have to see what there fluff is going to end up though.

  11. wow......aside from the flayed ones and the lords most of these look horrible. Anyone else notice the lack of those little green rods?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Geniales, ahora si estoy interesado en ellos!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Liking the Vehicles…. not keen on some of the names or overly blinged-up look and ya, concerned about the lack of green rods!

Already looking at ways to convert them into less of a 'tomd kings in Spaaaaaaaaaaaace!' look.

  14. orgasmic, talk what u want, GW are the mother f...ers of minis sculpting!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yeah, I noticed that there doesn't seem to be rods anywhere. With the exception of the vehicles, I really like these models. Doubt I will play them though, since there are literally 20+ players in my area who are going to as well.

  16. So the Lychguard with sword and shield... Did GW finally give a Xenos race a TH/SS TEQ?

    One can only wish!

  17. WOOT!!!! FINALLY!

  18. Ahh....happiness.

Just had a game the other day with my fave space zombies....sadly, I have a feeling my old destroyers and wraiths may be gathering dust depending on how good these new units are...

    ReplyDelete
  19. Wraiths, due to their lack of rending or power weapons, were already gathering dust. Which is ironic considering they were my only painted models.

Destroyers on the other hand were my staple unit, 10 in total for a double wing. Let's hope they haven't been too badly nerfed or, dare I say it, phased out...

    ReplyDelete
  20. They will definately nerf the Destroyers based on the fact that many cron players already have plenty and they need to sell new models.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Based on rumors, necron destroyers are now assault 2 now not 3.
Everything else is the same as before I believe, except range I think.

  24. I like what I see thus far BUT:

    1. Need more clear plastic.
    2. Want to file/ cut off all the head frill blades
    3. Probably not going to stick on any loin cloths and such since I want to have nice clean soulless army LOL.

Otherwise me likey. AND is it just me or does the transport barge feel a bit too phantom menace droid skiffy for you?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hmm. I always liked Necrons, but I loved the transparent rods. And we don't need any more armies with TH/SS equivalent.
Like the paint scheme on the vehicles though.
And, or is it rearly just me, or do flayed ones seem to have lost their blood crazed insane look?

    Seconded

  27. The flayed ones models are good but not as good as the old ones. Why are they so clean? Did they find the skin dried up in the desert?

I agree that the loin cloths are really bad.

I really don't like those silly little hats on the Lynchguard and Lords. Are they wearing tiaras or what? Are they going to be the prettiest girls at the prom?

As for the vehicles, I'm just not a fan of the designs.

Hopefully future models will wow me but so far I'm kind of disappointed. :(

  28. Of course, didn't anyone else see the next WD?
"Introducing new Citadel Transpari-Cast(TM), the next step for our hobby. Citadel Transpari-Cast(TM) is an expansion to our bitz range, which will include transparent plastic rods, crystals and portals. These new items can be used to add more detail to your new necron models, or to convert your very own Land Raider Necronius(TM), rules for which will be included in our next book, Warhammer 40,000 Apocalypse: More Space Marines."
    @Anon(12:47): I can't understand the hats either.

Don't threat, according to the above, no warriors, Destroyers, Monolith, Scarabs, Wraiths or Tomb Spyders either which I'm sure isn't the case. They may come in a later wave (certainly the case for the Spyders) or simply wasn't featured above because they ain't exactly new.

  33. who else thinks the necrons are awsume and the hats do not look like tiaras the flayed ones look a little

  35. These models are a joke.. So much for my three year wait for Necrons. Time to find another hobby.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Idiot, so quick to judge without having seen the rest of the new model range, rules, or fluff.

Only hurting yourself by being a negative nancy, but hey if you want to rape yourself in the ass then by all means go for it. Id like to see you do a better job at making necron models. unlike of races they arent easy to make for new units out of thin air given there unique background and look in the 40k universe.

Im a vet necron player and I know just about everything about them. These new models are stunning and were taken time over to be done nicely. The fact that took 3 years for GW to get them done proves how difficult it is to add proper looking models to the army.

    ReplyDelete
  37. It's pretty obvious that this isn't fake as well unless Beasts of War are very good at both modelling a load of necrons, scenery, and then doing 'eavy metal paintjobs on them, then can also make them look like White Dwarf pictures - which btw is obviously where they got them. The models seem a bit unbalanced to me - especially the praetorians.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh... god...

    What have they done?
These aren't sleek metal warriors with cold, empty, eye sockets who express pure fear.

These are flamboyant eqyptian robots with souls.

I miss the ol' C'tan led necrons :(

(And the leaked fluff tells of the necrons overthrowing the c'tan, so they will probably not be availible. This is in my opinion very stupid as the necrons were mindless [MINDlESS] slaves under the C'tan... How could they then decide to overthrow them? ^.o)

    ReplyDelete
  39. I for one dont mind the fluff changes that are rumoured. I hated the concept of C'tan still being on the tabletop WITHOUT being shards. I mean come on, Gods on the tabletop that can be taken out by snipers with relitive ease. Never used the Ctan and once GW decided to take them out, they had to completely overhaul the very little necron fluff that was in existince. I like FoD and thought it would be a good point in which to launch the new fluff and it seems that it goes along with it. As a 6 year vet of Necrons i'm glad to see the ol metalheads to take charge for themselves and retake what was theirs. PS I HAVE NEVER PLAYED A CTAN IN A REGULAR GAME.....ITS MUCH BETTER TO GIVE A dESTROYER LORD A WARSCYTHE, BUT WITH THE NEW RELEASE LETS SEE WHAT CARNAGE WE CAN DO, REMEMBER ORDER UNITY OBEDIENCE

  40. Was really looking forward to this day...then I saw the models...Massive Necron fan (Love everything about them in the fluff) But these models look terrible, looks like they tried to update the old Necron raiders and failed...Biggest change in race design ever.

Maybe the Old Ones saw this coming & thought
"Better kill them off now, before they start to look stupid"

    Good Bye cold soulless Necrons

  41. @Anom 10-26
I'm curious with what you don't like about the models, other than the Flayed ones all the models I have seen to date have been most impressive. The only altercations I bwould make to the models are to cut or augment the crests on the models, other than that it looks and feels like the Necrontyr have mostly finally awaken. I mean the Ghost ark seems like a horrifying machine that would levitate over a realm of death

  42. love these! i play tomb kings aswell so the idea aof space versions to me is awesome! can't wait for them when they come out
