  1. Bummer, looks like those gant boxes are $44 instead of the earlier rumored $33.

    2. Isn't that why they are red, have dashes in their short sale code, and D in the Route to Market column? If those aren't direct, then what box are these supposed to be?

    3. Just been reading through the white dwarf. Says term and hormagaunts are kits of 20. After some quick calculations - the models are roughly £1.33 each compared to previous £1.5 each. O.O

  3. That makes the Tyranid Swarm box a much better deal, doesn't it?

    1. Actually The Hobbit has been taking off at my store recently and it's a pretty fun game once you actually find people to play with.

Since a lot of people ended up going Mirkwood Rangers, I may end up buying a Laketown Warband.

  5. Gants and Gaunts are directly only... I feel sorry for all the LGS owners who will have to send sales to GW's web store because they can't sell their customer what they need. What a terrible way for GW to conduct business.

    1. Don't think they are a replacement for the current box.

    2. Yes because lgs will still be selling the same termagaunt and hormagaunt kits they're selling now. Online only 20 packs doesn't mean lgs owners will have to send customers to gws site.

  7. No khorne or any other supplement???
Does the list mean no Codex supplements in Jan for definit?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. nope, because the supplements are released via blacklibrary so they dont necessarily have to advertise them in white dwarf

  9. Really dislike the "Direct Only". It is clearly a way to undermind independent local game stores, Who ntw do more for the players than just about any GW store.

    1. It's more likely that (as someone said above) that the Gaunt D boxes will not replace the current items.

I'm not aware of GW making basic Troop choices have a limited availability and I doubt they will start now as it's a terrible business move.

  10. Still think it's bs that all those how to paint documents and add-ons only come in digital editions. Not everyone has the money or need to buy a ipad or tablet. And definitely not just for these ebooks. Prices look ok for the models and all else bit I'm really disappointed about the digital editiobns

    1. I appreciate the sentiment, but the device you used to make that post can almost certainly open the ebook format, if you download a free reader. Google on.
