The video is so basic, I should almost have my son do another parody. Anyways, consider advanced orders for Tyranids now Official.

  1. Is it immature that a grown man got more excited than he should have over this little blurb?

    1. That depends, did you jump up and down clapping your hands together rapidly while squealing "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"? If you did that is considered acceptable.

    2. Good, I'm happy knowing I'm not the only one that did that lol.

    3. Are wet pants a little bit too much then?

    4. I did that when the Necron codex first came out, I sure hope it's acceptable cause I just did it again :-)

    5. Many Tau also wet themselves, but since our reproductive and urinary organs are on our foreheads (for defensive purposes), our pants were unsoiled.

    6. Just a spritz folks, just a spritz. Anything heavier than that just means you need depends, but a spritz is acceptable.

  2. They should really outsource their teasers to the Forgeworld division, those guys actually put a lot more effort into these videos. The Horus Heresy videos they released for massacre were amazing.

  4. The creator of this video did get fire though, not enough flames in the background.

  7. I also must say, props to Natkfa for being first on reporting most things 40k.

  8. That is the worst marketing plan for a product line. I would be imbaressed if I was GW. I actually had a very small tear for you mid players.

    1. IT disagree that it was bad marketing. The message GW wanted to communicate was that Tyranids are coming January 4th. They did that. Clearly and succinctly. And the job probably came in under the bid. Marketing does not need to be flashy or entertaining. It just needs to convey a message.

    2. Yeah... and *how* you deliver that message is insanely important. The message that was sent was "Least amount of effort possible."

That's a D- broadcast graphics student assignment right there.

    3. The 40K community has known about this release months in advance. To deliver the "official" word that a product line is being released by words alone. That's laziness.

    4. I'm not really much of a fanboy, but that bit of marketing did its job. GW let the gamer community know their "official" next release was going to be Tyranids. And we're all talking about it... So mission accomplished.

We can call then cheap, or lazy, or whatever. Just because some folks wanted a full-on amine feature doesn't change it's effectiveness. Good on GW for saving a bit of quid.

But go ahead, you're free to think what you like, and to have the last word on this bit.

    5. No Dredd, *some* of the 40k community *online* have known this was coming for about a month. For all those players that only play in GW shops, get news only from GW and for those mostly offline...this will be the first they know.

I never assume that everyone who plays 40k reads news online at third-party sites or even knows they exist.
