Of late, a lot of the games I have been playing have shown that MSU (multiple small units) lists are almost a complete failure. Not because they do not have a lot of flexibility or because they do not have the units to destroy the enemy, but because the enemy which is also playing the MSU game is it doing better.

Right now without coffee, I am not going to get into the specifics. The just of it though is, go all the way MSU, or leave it completely. Being the obscessive person I am, I go all the way first. However here is the next generation MSU list I have been working on. Note that this is only a test, although I plan on fielding it later this week anyhow.

  1. Needs more Venoms. Very similar to what I run, except I do 3x3 Tureborn in Venom, and 4x5 Warriors in Venom- with a Blast Pistol as well. It's not hard to get within 6" with an open topped fast skimmer, and it doubles the chances that that Rhino is getting popped.

    That said, I swap the Archon for a Succubus and run her with 9 Wyches in the only Raider I bring. Gives 3 Ravagers, 7 Vemons, and a Raider at 1850.

    Looking at your list, I'm just not sure where your points went to. Also, Heat Lances on the Scourges- you need AP1 somewhere to make sure a tank is dead.

  5. Blasters instead of Heat lances, because round 1, you cannot get into melta double pen range if you go first. The list is very fragile against light mech MSU lists, or Chimera Hull guard lists. I want to pop or disable very quickly.

    thought i would give the archon (get rid of hekatrix) a webway portal and the scourges can jump out and blast stuff away.
