Last December Hawk Wargames had an Advent Calendar of new releases revealed for the first part of 2014, and we have seen the first batch arrive at the end of January. Here it is the end of the February, and even though these have been up for pre-orders, its time to look at the latest releases for Dropzone Commander.

Natfka's Notes: This is a massive gunship, and although its is highly vulnerable to AA guns, this gunship can maintain the battle at range. Maintaining a steady support of Anti-air will be invaluable as this gunship is such a threat that it will need to be protected.

Natfka's Notes:Really? A dropship with AA capability? This is your chance to create a forward striking battlegroup that can knock out other dropships to dominate zones on the tabletop. Its durable with 4 damage points, and who doesnt fear arc caster (shaltari aa weapon) at E7. Its enough to make sure your enemy is not able to escape the front line

Natfka's Notes: OK, so you have a Harbringer Assault Dropship, these are the ground troops they carry. They are extremely heavily armed and can hold up the center of the field on their own. When taking these, even PHR walkers are in for a hurt.

Natfka's Note: Light Scout Drones for the PHR. Yes. Scout units are extremely valuable in Dropzone, and these can mean the difference between victory and defeat. They are able to use their scanners to aid in quickly finding objectives in buildings, and aid their sight (as a scout unit) to their dropships, which can be upgraded at 0pts to carry two skyhammer Indirect Fire missiles.

Natfka's Notes: The Shaltari Gun that comes with a tank attached, is a massive heavy tank with 4dps. Not to mention that it is a skimmer and harder to hit, its massive guns have incredible ranges to dominate the field. Seeing these on the field opposite you, is not something to take lightly, as the primary gun can move 6" and fire 36" against active countermeasures with 3 shots at E10 and an accuracy of 2+. Yes it comes with the standard 5+ passive save due to Shaltari shielding.
