  3. So, $265.00 USD if you want the Tidewall a couple of weeks after it sold out within minutes online. Yay.

    1. Like i said 2 weeks ago

      Boycott GW!

If people buy the stuff anyway or buy other stuff. Why would they ever change this?
      Vote with youre wallet!

Selling stuff for 5 mins, with the odd chance of "maybe" the local store, a 1h drive away haveing the product, is not the way to go!

    2. it's like what i say every third comment i make here. things are only going to become more ridiculous

    3. So you want to boycott GW for bringing back the Tidewall?

Why? I'm not seeing that as a bad thing.

      Delete
    4. ^ nope. that does not work. because boycotting them in one location does not stop others in another location from "business as usual" but my comment i referred to is "things are going to become even more expensive, so it's not really good if people are surprised by more price and less contents"

each time something new comes out we all go mental, though it's not as if we ALL don't expect it.

also it is right GW releases have become ridiculous, but i guess that is part of the "hobby" fun these days.

  4. ^ edit: That list is a bit off. It's two shield walls, not two gun rigs to make the Tidewall (minimum requirements). But still... argh

  5. Lizardmen seem to have a new battalion box.

  6. Yay!!! Now all my Tau allies come pre-packed with round bases!!!... Well... Except the Demiurg... Sorry... "Duardin"

  7. Bit of a missed opportunity to replace some finecast with a plastic kit. Oh well, I don't collect Lizardmen anyway

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. They probably have a huge surplus of Finecast Lizardmen to sell off first.

    2. Actually, I bought the Skink Priest and the Skink Champion 2 weeks ago and both we're in metal, so GW are not selling off fine cast they are putting thing's into fine cast. It surprised me too.

  8. So much for complete free AoS rules, lied to again

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. not at all, the rules are still free they are just giving you the OPTION to buy the fluff filled book that also contains the rules. Free implys you can access it WITHOUT paying which you can.

      Delete
    2. 1. You can still use the current rules!
      2. These will likely be the same rules still!
      3. Who cares if its free? Why would you get into a dieing collectors item porduct line? That defeats the porpus of buying overpriced miniatures if they cant increas in resell value.

    3. ^It hurt my brain to read this comment.

    6. The rules are free...
Ugh gods, this stupid bloody argument again...
      : /

      Delete
    7. @yog

The argument will persist because regardless of what BS GW throws their customer base, some people will always be able to see through it.

      So sorry (I actually am).

  9. Nice to see some Lizardmen love, but what's with calling them Seraphon. Kinda implies an angelic origin, but they're lizards. Is there some fluff I'm not aware of?

    1. There's the connection of the Slann to the Old Ones, who are supposed to be the good race that fought the C'tan and terraformed many planets in the galaxy, and populated them with races like Eldar (and Tau?) which they created.... apparently.

      Delete
    2. Sounds cool. Seraphon is more of an actual species name, where as Lizard Men sounds more like something a human would refer to them as.

      Delete
    3. +1 Damo.
I always thought that "Lizardmen" sounded like a derogatory term used to describe a race... Like ratman for skaven or manling for human... or pointy ear for Elves...
      Seraphon sounds nice and EPIC!

      Delete
    4. its a terrible name, obviously derived from Biblical Hebrew. Are lizardmen Jewish now?

      Delete
    5. Welp, that gives a whole menaing to the term Raptor Jesus!

      Delete
    6. Haha!
      +1 Yojiro.
If only we could name the rest of the stuff GW produce after Biblical and Mythological things... Oh wait...
      :D

      Delete
    7. actually I just looked it up, it is Hebrew, or at least the seraph part is, derived ultimately from a word meaning fiery. the phon bit might be Greek meaning sound, like in the angel Sandalphon.

      Delete
    8. You don't talk about, LIZARDMAN

      Delete
    9. So, yeah, found the fluff, and it turns out, yes, they were going for something heavenly. The Seraphon transcended the mortal existence at the end of the old world and became beings of celestial magic, or so says White Dwarf issue 92. The more I'm reading in this issue, the more turned off I am about the possibility of playing Seraphon. They sound terrible.

  10. I'm looking forwards to seeing the Seraphon Battle Tome, more fluff the better!
    :)

  11. Surprisingly AoS books are only available in english and french. How is it in other countries? Is the game only played in France? :)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think it's only the French that refuse to learn English! ;-)

  12. Yay! Repacks!

    The stagnation begins anew!

    1. I wouldn't be so bummed out about re-packs if they hadn't RE-SCALED the new minis. Why go to 32mm heroic scale if they weren't going to re-do the entire product line? I assume they were going to do that at some point then realized the cost and pulled the plug on the idea.

  13. At least there only wasting a week on reboxing then on to 30K yeah!!!!!

I just don't see the excitement without some new models. Even if it is just a redo of the Skinks man they don't look good on round bases. A lot of the core in my opinion only really looked good in massed ranks once you put on round bases it looks kind of flat

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Skinks have always been a skirmish unit up until the most recent Lizardmen army book.

      Delete
    2. "A lot of core" =/= skinks alone.

And there WAS a list that allowed for a RnF skink unit... but that was a looong time ago.

      Delete
    3. Ah the Lustria campaign!
      Those were the days...

      Delete
    4. I mentioned skinks because they were a unit I dislike aesthetically all together. talking about core in general not just lizard men's by the way I think the elves needed updated spear men they just don't work on round bases.
