Welcome to a look into the Revelations of Genesys that is fast approaching for the month of November. The Genesys Project is all about customization on a grander scale than any other wargame out there.
As in the Birth of Genesys- 1st Age there are 5 Domains of Life to create your factions from. Humanoids, Fey, Reptilia, Biests, and Insekt. Each domain is essentially a army type by itself with a tremendous amount of flexibility in it to create just about anything you want. Best part is.... all 5 Domains are part of one book.
In the 2nd Age of Genesys we are in a modern to apocalyptic genre tabletop wargame. You can start your own faction in the 2nd Age or play your 1st Age faction through and into the second age. This gives you a storyline and background that you created yourself and grew and customized through gameplay. Quite simply the storyline and background are yours. Of course there will be factions included in each book to get into the game right away.
In the second age each Domain has it's own custom armory from which it begins the game with. Like in the first age there are basic Common Equipment that is available to everyone, the second age goes a step further with new sections of the Armory being brought into the Common Weapons and Equipment for your Domain. Each Domain is different in this regard for example; the Humanoid Common Armory gains Martial Weapons, and Modern Firearms for all Humanoid factions. Following that line of reasoning, Insekts do not get either one, but may if need be take traits to grant them access. Insekts instead gain Natural Weapons and Armor and access to Monsters of Myth and Legends.
This is a big advancement to the Domains of the next Age.
In the Revelations of Genesys you can customize your weaponry, create new vehicles of your own design, and create your own heroes from Gameplay.
