    1. Also, £23.50 for 10 dudes? Not bad GW, not bad at all! I've been working on Haemonculus Coven army and it's almost the same price for 5 Wracks!

  5. That is potentially the best teaser vid I've seen them do yet.

  6. Hmm anyone else seeing the CSM cultist look on the skiratii?

    1. Yeah, I guess that particular cultist might have been Ad-Mech before he found the Gods.

    2. Exactly, really like that cultist tho.

    3. Makes me wonder if the next campaign book is Ad Mech versus Chaos.

      Delete
    4. They have cultist head and modified body, tempestus scion modified cap, necron legs, stubbers, skaven sniper bits.
worst models of ad mech possible.
from what forgeworld did with skylax and with magos dominus to this garbage

  7. Nice. I like how the walker "torso" is reminiscent of a Sentinel.

    1. It has more Defiler vibes to it, I guess

    2. walker is a defile with a supersized sentinel body. same lack of imagination like on the skitarii

  8. The prices are great! I love it when I can get more for my money! Probably won't have a great deal of options though.

    1. I dunno, it's a dual kit, so I assume at least two different weapons.

Also basic troops choices tend not to be to badly priced. Harlequins are 6 for about the same size, and 6 is the "standard" unit size you'd run with them.

  9. Enemy sighted, reinforcements inbound. Return: 27th March for further information.Praise the Omnissiah!

this is what the binary means

    1. Are you sure on that? You really sure? I know mine ain't, not after harlequins has hit me.

Damn you GW for bring out 2 awesome waves so close to gether

      Delete
    2. Yup, I've been paid again since then... And bought the new Khorne stuff too!

I've worked it out based on the above prices that I can get 4 boxes of Skitarii and 3 Walkers off Element Games for less than the GW price of 4 Skitarii and 2 Walkers!

      That's not a bad deal.

      Delete
    3. don't forget about the codex and more kits in the second third? week of the wave...

  11. Do we think they'll be like a couple of plastic characters as well?

    1. I'm guessing this is more of a mini-dex and looking at Knights, Scions and Harlequins I'd probably say no. Unless the characters already existed in some format like with Inquisition, I'd say you're out of luck.

    2. At some point I expect servitors and tech Priest engineers since those units are all fine cast and used by multiple books. However those are really ad mech and not skitarri.

      Delete
    3. I expect a magos release. Based on what i was going off before (i.e. FW didn't do skitarii, which means GW are getting ready to release them, turns out i've been right.)

guess what FW only have magos dominus and archmagos, but no simple magos or other HQ, which suggests to me that it will be a clampack in the future

  12. So, technically I already own some AdMech because my Grinder tops come off and I have two unbuilt Sentinels?

    Bonus.

  16. Spidercan, Spidercan, does whatever a Spidercan does. Can it fly? No it can't. Thats because it's a can. LOOK OUT! Here comes the Spidercaaaaan

    1. Oh god.. this is like the Hell Chicken and the Flying Croissant all over again.. everything goofy gets a name immediately!

    2. Don't like the model but I like that name for it lol

      Delete
  17. It fits, most imperial armour is basically a metal coffin that either flies, walks, crawls, or is propelled along the ground using the 38k year old metal tread that snaps in half as soon as a necron skull gets caught in them.

  18. Didn't one of those redirects say it was a Onager Dunewalker, or something? This one is an Ironstrider. Guess that means the redirects thing is bunk after all.

    1. Ummmm dual kit? Or something we have not seen yet? Time will tell :)

      Delete
    2. nope, you will se the onager dunecrawler too (this is just the first week release ...)

      Delete
    3. So with a 10 man infantry kit and a walker tank in the first week with another vehicle kit still to come as well as who knows what else? Something tells me this is a bigger release than Harlequins...

      Delete
    4. I'm thinking Infantry dual-kit and walker as seen above, some kind of elite choice (possibly a dual-kit?) an HQ or two, a transport tank and possibly some kind of heavy support (gun platform, tank, who knows).

Pure guesswork, but it does seem like GW will capitalise on this and make it a bigger release.

      Delete
    5. yeah i think there will definitely be an hq and an elite. Possibly this one is heavy support or fast attack, so there might be another one for other slot and a transport. So by my estimate 3 more kits and a clampack or two + codex, cards and what else...

      Delete
    6. unfortunately the ironstrider has the same layout description as the onager

  19. While I'm generally happy to see AdMech FINALLY get a release, compared to all of the fan conversions and 3rd party stuff (hell, even FW) these are pretty underwhelming. You'd think after years of buildup, GW would have put a bit more effort into it.

    1. There it is. I came here to spot the negativity of this release.
      And I was not disappointed.

I really like those ground troops. I admit, I'm not sure about that crawler yet.

      Delete
    2. Not into the walker but those troops are AMAZING, are you kidding me!?!

      Delete
    3. I dunno, maybe it's because I've seen them (particularly the infantry) in so many other places over the years (Micro Arts Studio, Blight Wheel, etc) I'm just not floored by them. They look right, sure, but for some reason they're not kindling my enthusiasm.

But, at least we're getting a codex. Hopefully it'll be the exception to the okay-not-great release cycle.

      Delete
    4. i like the models but i am going to kitbash regardless. if you dislike the official models i'd advise you do the same. but as you mentioned atleast there is a dex. with a dex you don't need official models, you can simply proxy using conversions/kitbashes.

my only complaint is they need more admech symbols (no not for them, but so i have symbols for my kitbashes)

  20. i think people are confusing Skitarii with Admech. skitarii are military forces used by the mechanicus, and are quite guard like in field operations ( although have access to more outlandish and weird stuff ) the adeptus mechnicus tech priest however are all crazy weird guys with mad technology everyone knows and loves. they are however rare.

its worth noting that the mechanicum of 40k is vastly different from the 30k one. it has been said as much by the designers.

    1. They have hooded robes, cool face masks and bionic limbs. That's good enough for me!

      Delete
    2. well the cult mechanicum was rumored to come as well. That might be a mini-dex for tech-priests and magoses or another force of mechanicum itself to come later who knows

      Delete
    3. Skitarii is not really confusable with the AdMech. Skitarii is a designation applied to the troops of The Miltaris of the Mechanicum, the skitarii consist of various different troop types - hypaspist, praetorians, sagittarii among others. Priests are found among all the scolae of the AdMech, performing tasks suited for their rank with the different scolae. If this is indeed called Codex:Skitarii I think we'd have to assume it deals with the Militaris. I am a little puzzled if GW has chosen to split things up into two codices though.

      Delete
    4. ^ puzzled...why? this is GW we are talking about.....if you didn't expect it to be this way then.....*i got nothing* .......yeah they make it this way to make more.......$$$

  21. Man games workshop REALLY wants my money this month. Khorne release is going to get me to buy a ton of chaos space marines.... and admech is an obvious money sink. Oh fair my poor sad wallet.

  22. I personally like the walker, although if I got it I would have to put a battle cannon or some other type of big gun on it. Then it would look really good.
