This year’s gaming annual doesn’t just have points and content for gaming groups – it’s packed with optional narrative rules that offer new ways to play and new ways to connect your games. Stuff like…
Linked Games
These days, how you experience the 41st Millennium is really up to you. If you love the adventures of First Claw in the Night Lords trilogy, or the exploits of Gaunt’s Ghosts, you’ve got Kill Team. On the other end of the spectrum, Apocalypse caters for the most earth-shattering conflicts in the galaxy. But what if you could put it all together?
Chapter Approved 2019 allows you to do just that! Complementing the parallel battles system (previewed yesterday), our suggested rules for linked games allow you to combine Kill Team, Warhammer 40,000 and Apocalypse in escalating battles.
Perhaps you could use a game of Kill Team to represent a desperate attempt to save a captured commander – or play a battle of Warhammer 40,000 between the survivors of a larger Apocalypse battle. With a number of optional battle outcomes, narrative tips and suggested campaigns, you’ll find linked games fun to play and simple to set up.
Spearhead
Aren’t tanks brilliant? Whether it’s a lumbering Leman Russ or a heavy-hitting Hammerhead, as far as we’re concerned, every tank is brilliant. Which is why we’re very excited to share Spearhead with you!
Spearhead is a narrative play module designed to let you fight epic battles with armoured columns of vehicles. With bespoke missions, army construction rules and Stratagems, you’ll be able to recreate epic tank battles that’ll give your favourites from the background a run for their money!
