These look interesting for the players that get a lot of games in with a chance to take on some new methods of playing and constructing your armies.

Whether your gaming group is you and a couple of mates in a shed or a massive society of like-minded wargamers, Chapter Approved is great for you, giving you loads of ways to bring together your friends for monumental battles.

1. Army Draft

Here’s an idea sure to shake up your next game – Chapter Approved 2019 includes an Army Generator, a system where you can randomly generate forces in moments. Why not have everyone in your club pool their models, then randomly generate a Power Level 60 army for each?
Sure, you might be a pretty good general – but just how would you secure victory with a Land Raider, a pack of Acolyte Hybrids and an Astropath? This year’s Chapter Approved could be your chance to find out.

2. Parallel Panic

Wars are rarely confined to one front. As huge armies fight pitched battles, the skies are filled with dogfighting aircraft, covert operations take place behind enemy lines and elite forces attempt to perform cunning flanking manoeuvres. With this year’s Chapter Approved, you’ll be able to recreate this kind of multi-level carnage on the tabletop with new rules for parallel battles.
These flexible rules can be used however you like. We’ve provided a number of suggested Parallel Battles to get you started, with Death From Above – a battle where vast armies clash as Kill Teams attempt to seize control of an orbital weapons platform – alongside two others. This is a great way to get everyone in your club involved, whatever the size of their army and however they like to enjoy Warhammer 40,000.

3. Juggernaut

Every gaming group has one – the seemingly unbeatable veteran capable of taking on any enemy, with any army, and winning, regardless of what they take. These are the Napoleons and Hannibals of the modern age – and it’s high time you took them down a peg. Why not attempt a series of challenge missions?
These missions are ideal for forces of different sizes and offer a fresh new way to play. Each has its own Stratagems and an alternative scoring system that rates them on a scale of 1-5 stars. We’d suggest a leaderboard – just who can get the best score on any given challenge mission? Can your club’s most seasoned veteran secure 5 stars?

As with all Chapter Approved books, the rules in 2019’s edition are designed to be highly flexible, meaning you’ll be able to use everything we’ve mentioned here for years to come.
