Cypher is a fun no holds barred special character Dataslate, that was reinstated into our lists as a Christmas Present during the Holiday Advent Calender releases in December. Being able to join so many different army types, the question comes up on whether or not Forgeworld armies can include Cypher or not.

Few days ago, I was wondering if I could take Cypher in my Tyrant's Army Legion list to get an Aquilla Macro-Cannon fired with BS10.
As there is actually no mention of the FW Armies in the Cypher's Dataslate, I sent an email to FW to know if we could take Cypher with the FW Imperium/Heretics Army Lists.
And here is FW answer: "Unless our army lists are included in the dataslates, you can't use them with the dataslates. So, with regards to the Army lists you listed, and any other Forge World list, you can't take Cypher in their Primary Detachment."
So for the moment, all FW Army Lists can't take Cypher. (Imperium & Heretics)
