It’s a packed week of Forge World releases, with new miniatures ranging from the very, very big to the very, very bloody. So let’s jump in and see what we’ve got.
The brand-new war machine of the Legio Titanicus that we previewedearlier in the week is now available to pre-order! The Warbringer Nemesis Titan is a colossal god-machine designed as an enemy Titan-killer – and you can add it to your Horus Heresy forces now. Want to see what it’ll do on the battlefield? Check out the rules here. You might want to be sitting down – it’s such a monster that its rules might knock the wind from you!
The new Titan comes as three separate resin kits – the Warbringer Nemesis Titan Body, Mars-Alpha Pattern Warbringer Titan Head and the immense carapace-mounted Warbringer Titan Quake Cannon – along with no fewer than four options for weapon arms. These resin weapon kits – the Battle Titan Laser Blaster, Battle Titan Volcano Cannon, Battle Titan Gatling Blaster and Battle Titan Melta Cannon – are also compatible with the Reaver Titan.
You can pre-order all of this new titanic goodness now – but while this is undoubtedly the biggest release of the week (in physical size, that is), it’s far from all that’s out now – because the Blood Angels are back.
You want heroes and vehicles for the sons of Sanguinius? You got ’em, headed up by a Blood Angels Legion Praetor. This mighty hero – who could be a Chapter Master, senior captain or some other high-ranking member of the Legion – is striding forward into battle, cloak flapping, a two-handed blade of perdition (think a power sword but with more fire) gripped tight and ready to swing. His armour is as ornately detailed as you’d expect from the aesthetes of the Blood Angels, and he looks every inch the leader he is.
Prefer your Praetors heavily armoured? Try the Blood Angels Legion Praetor in Tartaros Terminator Armour. Heroically sweeping around, firing his combi-bolter while preparing to strike with his blade of perdition, this hero is perfect for leading a teleport assault or heading into the thick of battle where the extra protection afforded by his lavishly decorated armour will be crucial.
If your Praetors do fall in battle, they may be entombed within a Dreadnought – and there are now two Blood Angels-specific war machines available to them. The Blood Angels Legion Contemptor Dreadnought and Blood Angels Legion Leviathan Pattern Siege Dreadnought are both towering models adorned with the sigils of the IX Legion.
Both Dreadnoughts are multipart resin kits and require weapon arms (a wide range of which are available separately) to get them ready for battle. Either of them will add a potent mix of heavy firepower and devastating close-combat ability to your Blood Angels Legion.
The last of this week’s Forge World releases are also usable by Blood Angels forces, as well as any other Space Marine army from the Age of Darkness. The Space Marine Legion Vigilator and Space Marine Legion Praevian are both Consul options – specialist HQ choices who provide additional tactical options and new ways to play your army.
The Vigilator is a recon specialist and sniper rifle-armed marksman. He either operates alone to target and take out high-value enemies, or leads a recon detachment, striking at their foes’ most vulnerable points with sabotage and assassination.
The Praevian is quite different – a Mars-trained acolyte of the Mechanicum as well as a Space Marine, he is the keeper of the Legion’s bound battle-automata, and allows you to add a unit of either Castellax or Vorax robots to your army, bringing a whole new kind of killing power to your force.
You can pre-order all of these new resin miniatures now – which ones will be you be adding to your collection?
