I had those Haemonculi locked up since their last bloodthirsty battle, but once again it is time to release them. Tournament on Saturday. I plan on taking my Dark Eldar for their first tournament showing, assuming a couple things.

First that I can wrap up the models that I am working on to do so. They will need to be painted, as there is a comp set of scores (sportsmanship /painting). Oh well, this just means you also need to not table your opponent or they wont give you the best score.

That's me just bitching about comp, of course I will try and smash the opponent into the ground, I will just do it with a smile : ). Normally I just rate the opponents on movement fudging, or dice hiding, and give the best score I can give them otherwise.

The tournament is 2500pts, 3 missions. 2 hours for each battle (speed play, I will miss my extra 30 minutes). There is a who was your favorite opponent to play (the big comp), and a general painting score (if your models are painted or not).

This means tons of work, and I am working hard to get the models ready. I suppose if I get stuck and cannot finish them, I will have to switch lists or armies at the last moment, but I would rather play this list with my dark eldar as it has been performing well.

Playing the tournament is not the big challenge with this list. The challenge is completing my models since there is so many conversions. Lets see, 4 months of work ahead of me, 4 Days to complete it. The biggest challenge, The Grotesques. With this much modelling and paint work, I will bleed with hard glue encrusted  painted hands the rest of the week.

Also of note, there is a tournament up near Olympia (Western Washington) at Olympic Cards and Games on April 30th that I would like to attend, but that weekend was already reserved for by my family far in advance. It is a nice 2000pt Nova style tournament that is just a couple hours away.

Here is the list I plan on taking to the tournament this weekend.
