OK, not really..... but instead getting the game of 40k to a new generation through the Scouts! (formally called Boy Scouts).

While my son is no longer in Scouts, this would of been a cool to have there, but as of now its in the UK only.

Last year, we began a partnership with the Scouts UK to bring model-making skills to young people. The programme has been a phenomenal success, so we’re delighted to be able to expand our offer to support young adults as well, with a new way to incorporate Warhammer into their extra-curricular achievements, such as contributing towards the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

With the Warhammer Skills programme, young people can now collect, build and paint their way through the Warhammer universes as part of youth achievement awards. It supports Explorer Scouts with their Creative Arts Activity Badge as well as their Scouting Top Awards.

This programme can be used by anyone aged 14-24, regardless of whether you’re a complete beginner or already have some experience building and painting models. We’ve created the programme to centre around each participant’s individual goals. It can be completed in any Warhammer store across the UK, in your own Warhammer club or Explorer Scout meeting place.

Through the programme, you’ll develop new creative skills and use Warhammer to have great fun, make friends and support your personal achievements. Taking part is easy. If you’re 18 or older, simply visit the Warhammer Alliance website and apply, following the guidance you’ll find there. If you’re younger, your parent or Scout Leader must apply on your behalf.

To help you track your progress, you’ll receive a handy workbook that will guide you and your chosen Assessor into the worlds of Warhammer. The programme booklet helps you choose the right models for your project and explains what equipment you’ll need to create your own unique achievements. If you are completing the award in a Warhammer store, our staff will demonstrate new techniques and help you document the new skills you’ll learn with each visit.

If you’re new to Warhammer and want to try it out before you choose it for your Skill, you can have a go for free in any Warhammer store. Simply use our store locator to find your nearest branch and give them a call to book a Warhammer Skills model painting demonstration.*
