Pics of the Week: Dark Eldar

I am back working through my thoughts on my Dark Eldar, and I believe I am going to be playing nothing but them for a while now. I have found a few crazy things I would like to try, however, this is about pics and not tactics.

Pics of the Week happen every Tuesday where I share from my Warhammer pic library. I collect these all the time from all over, and sharing them is just fun.

Horus Heresy: First Book to be Revealed at Games Day UK!

I am horrible at remembering dates, and without going and looking I won't remember the dates of my own birth. So when it comes down to when the next Games Day UK is, I have no clue. September? Regardless, this small bit is from a good rumor source, and it sounds logical that this is indeed accurate.

Horus Heresy New Releases

Lately we have had lots of rumors on Horus Heresy, and this one jumps into numbers. On just how many new Forgeworld releases will be seeing alongside the just announced Horus Heresy releases. How many and what they could be are the questions I know everyone has.

Quest for the Holy Grail: Dice Part 2

This is part of two of my obsessiveness about dice. Yes, I have bought dice by the pound, and am not ashamed to admit it. In fact, I have Mcmenamin's Beer Jars full of dice. I know most of you do not know what that is, but picture a very large Jar that is meant for holding beer.. This is about  more research I have put into dice.

Part 1 is located here.

The Quest for the Holy Grail: Average Rolling Dice!

I have a thing for dice. Yes I have even bought them by the pound. So I have lots of dice. The problem I have with my own 40k games, is that I often get horrible dice results. I just cannot even get games in where I can get my dice to approach average results. Hence.... The Quest for the Holy Grail... Average Dice!

Faeit 212 BlogExchange: New Additions

This week I am staying on schedule. We have a couple blogs to add to the exchange and I want to get back on track for the BlogExchange on Mondays, Pics of the Week on Tuesdays, and the Artist's Showcase on Wednesdays.

So what is the Blog Exchange? It is basically an exchange of blogs on each others blog rolls. Its that simple. The search engine beneath the blog roll is also set so that readers may do a search on all the blogs on the exchange for whatever it is that they are interested in. So if your blog is being added, Mondays is when I spotlight each new blog to the exchange. The purpose of the Faeit 212 BlogExchange is to generate traffic and ideas to the wider community of Warhammer related blogs around the world.

Forgeworld's Horus Heresy Follow Up

The Horus Heresy is one of those events many of us have wanted to see Forgeworld tackle. It offers great opportunities in collecting and recreating the battles that formed the background and storylines for the hobby we all love.

40k Background: Changes and Additions

Korlandril here, and I will be looking at several changes within the fluff in the new 6th Edition rulebook. This is by no means a comprehensive list but, it highlights a few changes I found interesting.

Look At the New White Dwarf and Munitorum Dice

I am rather excited about the new direction for White Dwarf. Codex updates are exciting, and are something I am now looking forward to with renewed interest. So tonight I thought I would take a look at the latest White Dwarf for August and then open up the new Munitorum Dice Sets. These dice are nice, and I was quick to pick up 24 of the standard dice and one of each set (the objective marker dice and vehicle damage dice).

Presence of Faeit: Chaos Marines, Dark Eldar, and Aegis Defense Lines

This week was a busy one. There was a ton of Chaos Marine information here on the site, as well as discussion on the future of Allies in 40k and the role of White Dwarf. Then to top it off, we had the announcement (teaser) of Forgeworld releasing Horus Heresy products.

Presence of Faeit is my weekly editorial. I generally report during the week what is going on, and today is my day to comment on what exactly it is that I am thinking of.

Details of Forgeworld's Horus Heresy Releases

With the announcement of Forgeworld releasing a Book 1 of the Horus Heresy this fall, it was nice to get a glimpse at what is on the horizon. Multiple books are scheduled, as many as 8, with the first book featuring the Luna Wolves and Dark Angels and expected for an October Release.

Dark Eldar with New FAQ on the Way

Dark Eldar at this particular moment have a very hard time with close combat weapons in Close Combat. (yes I am working on a series to update my Dark Eldar Tactics section for 6th edition). However, in yesterdays news, something came out of Games Day Chicago regarding Dark Eldar.

The Horus Heresy: Forgeworld Video Teaser

Here it is fans. Its coming our way. We have been waiting a long time for this one! Welcome to Warhammer 30k!

Furies and Greater Daemons. Coming?

One thing that I recall hearing in the rumor mill was new Furies and Greater Daemons. It looks like quite a few models got redone in finecast this month and of course we just received a new daemon release. So where are the Furies and Greater Daemons, and are they going to get a new 6th edition treatment?

The Dragon. What is It. Chaos Space Marines

We have had rumors for a long time now that a Chaos Marine Dragon was coming. I have a hard time imagining it, but I figured it was time to really get down to business on what this unit just might be. The following is a compilation of rumors and sightings, plus maybe a little speculation on this new upcoming model for the Chaos Space Marine codex.

Chaos Daemon Video and Munitorum Dice

The new Chaos Daemons we have been seeing are now up for Pre-order and Games Workshop has a nice little video showing them off. Definitely worth the watch. The new models are now up for pre-orders and you can order them directly by following the link.

Also hitting the stores now, are the munitorum dice, Vehicle Damage markers, and Battlefield objectives.

Behind the Scenes: A New Take On Allies

There are often many things going on behind the scenes of this site, and most conversations do not ever see the light of day for many reasons. This is the second conversation piece that I have been giving permission to post up on the site.

Behind the Scenes Conversations: Pot Holes and White Dwarf

There is often a lot of conversations that go on behind the scenes here at Faeit 212, and while most of them will not see the light of day, I was given permission to post up on two recent conversations. This is the first.

New Releases and Chaos Daemon Screenshots

New Chaos Daemons are now only a couple days away from being released, and already they are being seen up for pre-order at Wayland Games. With all the looking ahead at what is coming out with Chaos Marines, I figured it was time to look at what is coming out now. Munitorium dice, objective markers, and vehicle damage dice are supposed to be hitting the stores any time and should already be arriving. Then we have the wave of Chaos Daemons, which should be up for pre-orders to begin this Saturday.

New Wall Terrain Spotted

This afternoon we are looking at what looks like a new piece of terrain in the 6th edition rulebook. While i am not 100% on it, I don't remember seeing these before. When it comes to new models, even though I have been around this hobby for a long time, I still am not the best at finding new things hidden on pages.

Details of the New Eldar Models

It seems that that we have some details on new Eldar models that are sitting in a warehouse waiting for a release date. While we are still looking at 2013, and probably a second half release date for a codex, the appearance of these models could suggest something earlier. Only time will tell.

Chaos Marine QnA Event Compilation

The live QnA we had here last night was a ton of fun, and there was so much information that it was very hard to keep up with it.

OK, Live QnA Chaos Marine Codex!

Here is what is going on. We have a special guest coming on (I cannot say who he is), who will be answering your questions regarding the upcoming Chaos Space Marine codex. He will be joining us within a couple hours, so start compiling some questions up, I cannot guarantee that he will be here long. Treat him with respect, so that we may get future guest visitors.

Chaos Marines: Answers to BoK's Missing Questions

Blood of Kittens was answering questions yesterday/last night on the Chaos Space Marine codex. He answered what he could, and now I thought I would answer the questions that were not answered. Lets get to it.

Chaos Marines: Warlord Traits Built In, Ahriman, The Legion Compromise

This afternoon's rumor comes from the comment section of Faeit 212, and discusses the Chaos Marine codex that we are anxious to get our hands on. From Ahriman to Kharn, and built in Warlord Traits, its all here.

Introducing the Tau Lamprey.... No Kroot for Tau

We take a break from our recently normal Chaos Marine/ Daemon rumors and news to bring you something many of you are dying to discuss and hear the slightest bit of information on....... Tau.

QnA Chaos Space Marine Codex

The Chaos Space Marine codex seems to be the very heart of discussions, even amidst a very nice Chaos Daemon wave. So lets take a look at a small Question and Answer session by TastyTaste on just that subject.

Chaos Space Marine Rumors

Tonight we also have some Chaos Space Marine rumors just to pick you up after the big let down. These are good, and show off that we will be seeing apostles and warp smiths. Perhaps the set from Neil is correct, and we will see this codex Sept 1, even though the rumors below are guessing at October or November.

On The Horizon, Release Schedules

Here is another bit of information regarding the current release schedule and what is coming out. This is as I get it, so any information that helps us clear up what is coming out is great to hear. The title of this should technically be Starter Set, Chaos Marines and Dark Angels, since all three of these are on the horizon.

Pics Showing off September's Releases. 40k Starter Set

In the August White Dwarf there are images showing off what appears to be and advertisement for the starter set, ready to go for September. Check these out. It looks like a Dark Angel taking on a Chaos Marine Sorcerer.

Daemon Video Reveal from White Dwarf + Images

Edit: Go here to see a video of the August White Dwarf
http://natfka.blogspot.com/2012/07/look-at-new-white-dwarf-and-munitorum.html

Here they are, breaking pics from inside the latest White Dwarf..That chariot looks something amazing. Check them Out! More as I get them.

Chaos Daemons Compilation

I have been behind on information due to behind the scenes stuff for the site. With all the excitement about daemons going on, it was time to release a compilation of what the current word is around the rumor mill. One thing of note though, is that all those images in yesterday's video, can be found in the 6th edition 40k rulebook between pages 220-223.

August Releases: Spreadsheet Pic

Here they are. No time to comment, as I am heading out the door, but thought I would rush this out. I dont see any flyers here. When I get the chance later I will come back and comment and take a closer look.

Upcoming Releases: Information On What Happened.

Rumors are rumors, and often times its out of anyone's control, but a select few, on what is released and what is not. So when things are changed around at or near the last minute, it catches everyone by surprise, even those that are supposedly in the know. Exactly all the details on what happened may never be known, but at least here on Faeit 212 we have been given some of the closest bits of information we can get on just exactly "What Happened?".

Massive CSM Rumor Drop

Finally we have some immediate information on the Chaos Space Marine rules and information. A big thanks to TastyTaste on getting this out for everyone. I highly suggest making sure you check out his site as well.

Updated Information: New Video: Chaos is Coming!

Now we have the still images that are flashed by in this video. This is definitely Chaos Daemons. I can't see them doing a whole video for a release without a codex. The must be updating the entire codex in a White Dwarf. Talking about throwing us for a loop here.

Ordnance Barrage and 6th Edition

There are some major differences in the way Barrage Weapons work in regards to the Ordinance Batteries of the Imperial Guard. It would be wise to know these changes, before either facing them, or attempting to use them to their fullest on the tabletop.

Munitorum Dice, Objective Markers, and Vehicle Damage Dice

This just in, and you will have to be on top of it to get them. No pre-order, first come first serve. There is a lot going on, and staying on top of what is coming out has it's advantages.

CSMs Not In the New White Dwarf!

So rumors are coming in that Chaos Space Marines are not going to be released in August. In reality they are saying that the Chaos Space Marines codex is not featured in the White Dwarf, which essentially is the same thing. If this is the case, and these rumors are panning out to be true, are we looking at September release like Neil was predicting? or are we going to have to be waiting for October.

Presence of Faeit: Chaos Marines and other Releases, Trying New Things, and Forgeworld

This coming week we already know is going to be a good one. There is a lot on the horizon this coming month, and new flyers are just one of them. Our game is expanding at a rapid pace and I love it.

Presence of Faeit is my weekly editorial. I generally report during the week what is going on, and today is my day to comment on what exactly it is that I am thinking of.

We Are On the Verge of Chaos

It looks like within a few short hours we will start to get more information about our first 6th edition codex. Chaos Space Marines. This of course is coming from so many different directions, that I would just about drop the codex from the rumor section, however the rule is: Not til we get pictures or thing is our hands.

Battle Report: Imperial Guard vs Orks

Im approaching somewhere around 16 completed games of 6th edition, and it was about time to start doing some battle reports. I do feel like I am getting the rules down, and when Chris came over for a 2500pt Imperial Guard vs Orks match up, we were able to complete it the game in somewhere between 4-5 hours. That includes a few breaks, and going over some rules.

Forgeworld 6th Ed Updates: Is It Going To Happen?

It was rumored back a few weeks ago that Forgeworld would go mainstream, and while we have little evidence yet that it is going to, we are receiving 6th edition updates for forgeworld rules and updates. The rumor spoke of Games Workshop doing an FAQ that included Forgeworld models, but its hard to see GW doing an update on the FAQ when one is being written. So Perhaps the rumored end of summer GW rulebook FAQ will include rules that mainstream Forgeworld products in some way.

The Path of the Incubus: Artwork

Here is a great piece of artwork by Neil Roberts displaying one of my favorite units, Incubi. The picture comes from upcoming book Path of the Incubus, which is not available until 2013, and is the sequel to the Path of the Renegarde. check out the full piece of artwork below.

Fear To Tread

I have fallen behind on the Black Library releases, and here is the latest, along with a video for it. This looks like a definite must have for fans of the Horus Heresy.

Faeit 212 Blog Exchange: Spotlight

Time to catch up where I was supposed to be already. Ive got 5 new additions for you today, and we will still have another update come Monday. There are 5 excellent blogs for you to check out in this BlogExchange Spotlight

Tyranids: Doom of Malan' tai, Parasite of Mortrex

The Doom of Malan'tai and Parasite of Mortrex are apparently done, and supposedly just waiting for a release. This does seem to happen a bit, and no release information is given, so its one of those done and wait scenarios.

The Latest On White Dwarf

Here is the latest on White Dwarf's possible delayed release and problems getting to the printers.

Additional Rumor Bits Regarding Chaos Marine Codex Release

Already we are sitting on the 20th day of the month, and information that normally would start flowing within a couple days, is now looking like it might be delayed with a White Dwarf pushed back a little bit. I still feel that the Chaos Marine codex will be released August 4th, but I am simply projecting that date from a the rumors I feel have more accurate information.

These rumors validate that things are moving forward "flyers are close", and "Chaos codex was done", but they seem to all be concerned about the arrival date of both releases.

Bastions: A Brief Video

Just thought I would throw down a few ideas on Bastions, specifically to talk about how I am deploying them, and what fits up on those battlements. The video is a bit brief to go into much detail, so if there is interest I will post a more in-depth look at what I have found with these fortifications.

Games Workshop Upset with 6th Ed Distribution

Our comment section on Faeit 212 is one really to be proud of, not only for myself, but for the readers here that become involved in the discussions. The drama is kept at a very low level, and its been awhile since I have had to delete any serious drama. (from myself included)

This rumor comes from our comment section from Logan, who has been very gracious with us, to share what he discovers on his quest to find out what is in store for us in the near future.

Rumor Track Records for Faeit 212: Your Kidding Me?

I recently found this. Apparently someone has a running track record on rumors on me, even though I don't originate any rumors. It is apparent that there are people that do not understand the nature of rumors on this site, so it is time to explain it.......

Collaborating Rumors: Chaos Space Marines

I have another one for you this afternoon that corroborates this mornings release schedule. The more we see, the more August is really looking like the date. August 4th to be precise.

40k Release Schedule Unveiled: Chaos Marines, Dark Angels, and More!

Here are some details that have been sent to me about the next several months release schedule for Warhammer 40k. From the looks of things, August is an enormously full month, and if these pan out, September and October will be just as exciting.

New Eldar Boxes Sitting in Warehouses!

While Eldar are rumored to be at some point mid to late next year, we have some very precise rumors on exactly what models would be released for them. I do like seeing this, and there are some very new things here that I have not seen or heard of before. So check these out.....

Dark Angels Coming Soon?

During the 40k Design Studio Open Day we had some hints that Dark Angels were not too far away, and some misc rumors have hinted that they are not too far off. Today we have another minor rumor, hinting at something coming our way in regards to Dark Angels. Its not much considering where it came from, but you never know..........
