Howdy, long time reader, never submitted my WiP shots before, I just got through painting the first half of my new UltraSmurf primaris army! It’s been a slower project then I hoped for but I’m really happy with how these guys turned out, now I just need to base and get a primarneus to lead em!

GW Expands their Memphis Facility
Looks like new automation (Improved rituals to the machine spirit), and a massive 50,000 sq ft expansion is being worked on in Memphis. I do wonder if that will mean the NW up here will get things a little faster (we always get things a few days later than everyone else). Either way it seems the GW's market is expanding. Always a good thing for the industry.

What's In the February White Dwarf
February White Dwarf is right around the corner and today/ late yesterday we were given a preview of just what will be in it. White Dwarf seems to be just getting better and better.
via the Warhammer Community
https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/01/25/25th-jan-white-dwarf-preview-februarygw-homepage-post-2/
Let’s take a look at what lies within February’s action-packed issue.
A Guest Editor!
Following on from Pete Foley’s stint at the helm last issue, game-design legend Jervis Johnson takes up the mantle of guest editor for this issue. This has led to two exciting developments in February’s issue, both of which have a considerable amount to do with Jervis’ old friend and Battle Report arch-nemesis, Andy Chambers, who returns this month to continue a grudge match almost 30 years in the making! This takes the form of a special, three-part narrative Battle Report for Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team.
The events of the Battle Report itself are actually set in the immediate aftermath of the very first featured clash between Jervis and Andy – an epic-scale game of Space Marine from way back in Issue 154 (October 1992). Ever the gentleman, Jervis didn’t want anyone to miss out on the significance of the ongoing saga, so February’s issue includes a special 18-page Temporal Distort booklet that includes the original Battle Report in full, as well as highlights from some of their other clashes over the years.
Jervis also features in a guest editor’s column in which he talks about some of his favourite games from over the years.
Worlds of Warhammer
In this month’s episode of his regular column, loremaster Phil Kelly discusses the topic of naming your heroes. He offers wisdom galore on the subject, revealing how to seek inspiration for deed names to using factional nuances such as Ork glyphs. If you’re a fan of using the Custom Characters rules in the 2018 edition of Chapter Approved, Phil’s guidance will help to turn your home-grown hero into a true legend of the 41st Millennium!
Blood on the Streets
Part II of John Bracken’s updated rules for Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Skirmish introduces a new Skirmish campaign, the Tomb of the Arcallurgists (you can catch Part I in January’s issue). After reading all the rules, you can see how White Dwarfers Dan and Matt got on when they put the campaign through its paces in a six-part mini Battle Report.
The Tome Celestial
This new series delves into the storied history of Sigmar’s mighty Stormcast Eternals. As the first Stormhost Chamber to be hurled into fray when Sigmar’s Storm broke (and ultimately heralded the arrival of the Age of Sigmar itself), it’s only right that the Hammerhands have the honour of starring in the inaugural article. Featuring extensive background, detailed iconography, chamber organisation and new rules, this is not to be missed for fans of the God-King’s chosen warriors.
And More!
Here are some other brief highlights from the issue:
- The Realm of Metal: A thorough examination of all things Chamon, from thematic conversion and painting opportunities to basing and scenery tips.
- The Thirsting Blade: Nick Horth’s short story pits Stormcast Eternals against Khorne Bloodbound.
- Sigmar’s Golden Host: The glorious Hammers of Sigmar army of Warhammer Community’s Martin Morrin is showcased in all its glory.
- Echoes From the Warp: Warhammer 40,000 rules chief Robin Cruddace discusses the significance of beta rules and FAQs.
- Children of the Stars: A stunning showcase of an Aeldari Craftworldsarmy by veteran painter Lee Bates that has to be seen to be believed.
- Before the Storm: A Cadian armoured column on Vigilus is ambushed in this short story by Andy Clark.
- Kill Team Weekender: A review of last year’s awesome event at Warhammer World, including a showcase of beautifully painted kill teams that took part on the day.
- Commissar Severina Raine: The star of the new novel,Honourbound, receives her own rules for Kill Team.
- Glory Points: In his regular column, evil genius David Sanders offers guidance on fielding Mollog’s Mob.
- Illuminations – the Mirrored City: Take a look at some of the stunning artwork of Warhammer Underworlds.
- Vassal Knight Houses: Andy Hoare discusses a new way of fielding your Knights and Titans as a single, integrated maniple.
Believe it or not, that’s not even all, so don’t miss out! February’s issue of White Dwarf will be in stores from next Friday. If you want to receive your copy a few days early, and get exclusive full-art covers on your magazines, subscribe to White Dwarf today.
