Forgeworld has had a good year in 2017, and the Warhammer Community is sharing what they did during the year.

What a year it’s been for Forge World! From a new Primarch, to the Legio Custodes and some classic heroes from the 41st Millennium, 2017 has been pretty exciting – we thought we’d round up what’s happened throughout the year:
January kicked off with the release of Forge World’s largest Imperial flyer, the colossal Stormbird (the top overall spot still belongs firmly to the massive Manta). Armed with Void Shields and the transport capacity to bring half a battle company onto the battlefield (or even a clutch of Dreadnoughts!) this Lord of War is a great option for Space Marines armies both in the Horus Heresy and the 41st Millennium.
February saw the release of the latest book in the Horus Heresy campaign series, Inferno, bringing the Space Wolves, Thousand Sons and the Talons of the Emperor to the 31st Millennium with new rules and the dramatic Burning of Prospero campaign. Fans of the Legio Custodes received a powerful transport in the form of the Coronus Grav-carrier, while in the Mortal Realms, Mazarall the Butcher rose to shed blood in the name of Khorne.
March saw a diverse range of releases, from long-awaited models like the Tyrant Siege Terminators and Legion Moritat, to exciting new options like the Sagittarum Guard and the Karacnos Assault Tank.
Blood Bowl coaches also received some new options for their rosters with Star Player Griff Oberwald and the Rat Ogre.
In April, the armies of the Space Wolves and Thousand Sons continued to grow. Collectors of the Vlka Fenryka received a Contemptor Dreadnoughtof their own, inscribed with the iconography of the Space Wolves, while the Thousand Sons could reinforce their armies with the magically-powered Castellax-Achea Battle-automata.
May was a particularly exciting month, seeing one of the most beloved (and controversial!) Primarchs added to the 31st Millennium. We’re talking, of course, about none other than Magnus the Red, legendary father of the Thousand Sons. Naturally, Magnus was accompanied by his most elite warriors, with the Khenetai Occult and Legion Sehkmet Terminators.
In June, Forge World helped celebrate the release of the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 with the Imperial Armour indexes, giving players a host of potent options for building their armies in the new edition. One such option was the legendary Thunderhawk Gunship, an iconic standby of the Space Marines that got a redesign.
July saw one famous character make the jump from the digital world to the tabletop, with Gabriel Angelos, Chapter Master of the Blood Ravensand star of the Dawn of War game series, alongside some new heavy armour from the Horus Heresy with the Arcus Strike Tank.
In August, Warhammer Age of Sigmar players saw the return of the Rogue Idol, featuring an impressive new warscroll that makes it a great lynchpin in a variety of Orruk and Grot armies.
Hot on the heels of the Thunderhawk, in September, the Talons of the Emperor received aerial support from the Orion Assault Dropship, a deadly airborne Lord of War designed to deliver a squad of Legio Custodesright to the heart of battle. The Sicaran Omega, meanwhile, allowed players some additional anti-tank options with a pair of gigantic plasma weapons.
As October began, the first of several sets of doors were released, updating some older designs and, for the first time, allowing players to customise their Primaris Repulsors and Deimos Pattern Rhinos. These were coupled with the first xenos release of the year with the redesigned Tiger Shark AX-01, a fast-moving Titan-hunter with the firepower to scrap even a mighty Imperial Knight in a single barrage.
November saw an eclectic range of releases, from a new Lord of War for the Space Marines in the Astraeus Super-heavy Tank to Gor Half-horn, a deadly Beastman Bounty Hunter and the first of several planned releases for Necromunda.
Finally, in December, the Red Scorpions returned to the 41st Millennium with one well-known hero – now interred in a Dreadnought – and two new ones! And while there are only a few days left in December, there may well be some surprises on the way yet, so stay tuned…
