So it appears that each new codex will come with codes to unlock your rules inside Warhammer 40,000 - The App from which you can take everywhere with you. This sounds great on paper (get it.... paper..not digital?) and I am certain with large numbers of people subscribing it will provide a solid core of financial gain for the company. It just seems that a digital app with a subscription is not the same as getting a digital version.
Lets not forget that the price of Codexes has gone up! We are at $50 now for a codex.
Now its not required that you purchase a subscription. As long as you purchase the book you will have access to the rules within the app. Is the same as a digital version of the rules? Not from my understanding. Its just the rules.

There has been a substantially large outcry that I have heard as people start to realize their digital codexes are going away. However, recall in 2018 digital White Dwarf went away only to be brought back a year later?
