I just wanted to everyone to know this. Its quite sad as I had full plans on being there again as normal. Make certain you watch the Announcement video and check out the sneak peak for the Nova Open Charitable Foundation website. (the Summer Raffles are still coming!) Plus Im a little proud of the design work I did on the site. (there were a lot of people involved, including some professional work, but still excited about the look of the new site.)

2020 NOVA OPEN ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear NOVA Open Community,
NOVA Open 2020's on-site event, scheduled August 29-September 6 at Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA, has been cancelled due to health and safety concerns related to COVID-19. As with all things NOVA, our volunteers strive to harness their creative energies to find new and unique ways to interact with the community. This is no exception.

2020 NOVA Open REFUND OPTIONS
This community has learned (since the first conventions and conferences began cancelling back in March) that the cash flow nature of these events has created desperate financial situations for those who host them. It is no different for NOVA Open. Though full refund options are available, the convention will not be sustainable if the options to contribute all or part of each refund back to NOVA Open are not heavily selected by our registered attendees. We hope everyone ~ registered or not ~ will consider making contributions ensure NOVA Open not only survives but continues to thrive.
- ATTENTION: Registered Attendees - Emails have been sent to all those who were registered to attend regarding refund options. To gain access to your refund portal, go to novaopenstore.com and sign in to your account. If you are registered and have not received this email, or if you have trouble logging in, contact customerservice@novaopen.com. Refunds will become contributions if option is not chosen by July 10, 2020.
- ATTENTION: NOVA Open Supporters - We hope our registered attendees will be enough to help us weather the storm and come back with a Better-Than-Ever NOVA Open in 2021. We are also aware COVID-19 may have created financial concerns for some, as well. If you are not a 2020 registered attendee, but would still like to help NOVA Open clear its financial hurdles, please consider a direct donation: I WANT TO HELP!
In the event contributions exceed need, any dollar over and above that will be donated to NOCF with 90% earmarked for Doctors Without Borders who have done so much to assist the world-wide efforts in COVID-19 relief.
