Prepare to unleash the Slaves to Darkness!
At the forefront of Archaon’s armies march the crazed cultists of the Bloodwind Spoil. That’s right – the warbands of Warcry form core units in this new army. Each one will get its own box for use with Warhammer Age of Sigmar with double the sprues of the original box.

In addition to the warbands, you’ll be able to pre-order a new Start Collecting! Slaves to Darkness box full of completely new models that can only be found in this box. You’ll get nine updated Chaos Warriors, plus a Champion, five mounted Chaos Knights, a stunning Chaos Lord mounted on a Karkadrak and a Chaos beast we’ve never seen before.
These models perfectly blend the styling of the Varanguard with arguably the most iconic Warhammer design – the Chaos Warrior.
You’ll need rules to use them, of course, and you’ll find them in Battletome: Slaves to Darkness – in standard and limited editions, alongside digital formats. This book is so much more than just rules though, as it is filled with stunning art and it expands on Archaon’s plans to dominate the Mortal Realms – any fan of Chaos will want to read this for the background alone.
You’ll also be able to order the time-saving pack of Warscroll Cards to reference the stats and rules for all these new units.
Then we have the Endless Spells for the Slaves to Darkness. Each of them reveals insight into how the power of Chaos corrupts and infects the reality of the Mortal Realms. The Darkfire Daemonrift spews chaotic flame through a tear in reality, growing stronger in the presence of magic, while the Realm Scourge Rupture reveals jagged shards of twisted metal thrusting up through a rent in the ground. The floating Eightfold Doom-Sigil harnesses the souls of the fallen to empower your Slaves to Darkness units, making them even more deadly so they can harvest ever more souls for their dark masters.
You’ll also be able to pre-order new scenery kits – the Azyrite Shattered Plaza and Azyrite Ruined Chapel – both compatible with the modular scenery kits that are already available. They combine sprues of the scenery that was first seen in the Warcry Starter Box, allowing you to build your scenery as a corrupted nightmare landscape.
The Azyrite Shattered Plaza includes ruined walls, columns and a toppled fountain, whilst the Azyrite Ruined Chapel includes more ruined walls and a massive bell-tower that once called the faithful to worship.

Warcry? How about Morecry?

Speaking of Warcry, the Tome of Champions will expand your game with challenging campaigns, new ways to play, high-stakes side-quests and more! There’s far too much content to cover here, so keep an eye out this week for when we cover it in more detail.

Who let the Grots out?

Whether they’re coming to reinforce your Air Waaagh! or wreak havoc for your Imperial Navy wings, there’s no question these high-flying Gretchin are set to bring a tactical twist to Aeronautica Imperialis.
The box builds not only two Grot Bommer planes, which are similar at first glance to Eavy Bommers, as well as four free-flying Grot Bomms – tiny aeroplanes packed with explosives, piloted by thrill-seeking Gretchin! These are like nothing else currently in the game, and though they’re fun and wacky, your opponents will swiftly come to fear them.

More to Explore

Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress is an amazing game, full of diverse characters and exciting missions. But why stop there? The Blackstone Fortress Annual is packed not only with 2019’s White Dwarf articles for the game, but additional rules to boost the challenge level, some epic side quests and rules for all the available Retinue Characters! This is the essential book for every Blackstone Fortress gaming group.

It’s All Ogre

Ogres have been a beloved and effective part of the Blood Bowl universe for ages, but have you ever wanted an entire team of them? Well, now you (sort of) can with the Fire Mountain Gut Busters. They’re finally descending from the mountains to smash some skulls, accompanied by a tide of Gnoblars that occasionally remember to get the ball moving across the pitch.
You’ll also be able to pre-order a resin Ogre Booster kit from Forge World, with two additional Ogre players and an extra Gnoblar!
Along with the team, you’ll be able to pre-order Spike Journal! Issue 8 with all the rules you need to play, an in-depth look at the history of Ogres in Blood Bowl – including a featurette on Bob Bifford himself – and rules to Induce Slave Giants for any team!
On top of that, you’ll find a thematic mountainous Ogre pitch, matching stone-effect dice and some ever-handy reference cards. This weekend is set to be a good one for all you Ogre enthusiasts out there.
Blood Bowl fans will also be able to pre-order the Blood Bowl Almanac 2019 this weekend, a vital gaming companion that compiles the previous four issues of Spike! Journal – that’s issues 4-7 if you’re counting – covering UndeadHalflingWood Elves and Lizardmen teams.
You’ll also score an updated FAQ, a complete list of Star Players, and rules for the special pitches and balls to match the four teams. Choose between a physical copy or a handy digital version for away games.

Ride for Ruin

The next supplement for the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game offers a phenomenal new setting for your games. The War in Rohan explores – you guessed it – the history of the conflict and major battles between the forces of Isengard and the Riders of Rohan, plus rules for the key characters and iconic units for both sides.
This release brings a new plastic model for Saruman at the height of his powers (both mounted and on foot, including his Palantir on a plinth), plus the sinister Grima Wormtongue who’s hiding a dagger in his robes.
You’ll also find new modular scenery kits to recreate the villages of Rohan on your table. The Rohan House kit lets you build single houses with a variety of trims and finishes, or you can combine multiple kits to create larger, more impressive structures. Grab a couple of the Watchtower and Palisades kits to surround your village with proper defences. If you’re going all in, the Rohan Stronghold includes the content of six Rohan House kits, and two Watchtowers and Palisade boxes.
On top of all that, we’re bringing loads of Rohan and Isengard kits back to help you muster your armies.
And on top of THAT, you can let everyone know “whom you serve” with this awesome iron-grey Isengard Dice Set, featuring the White Hand of Saruman on the 6 face.

Between enormous releases for Warhammer Age of Sigmar, Blood Bowl and the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game, there’s sure to be something for pre-order on the 7th December that gets your blood pumping.
