The Mechanicum has always been one of my favorites dream armies, and now with the Horus Heresy, they are finally being fleshed out. Unfortunately not everyone right now has access to the new book which was released in limited numbers this last weekend. Luckily someone is sharing some information for us on what is in the new book, so that we can get a preview.

Astra Militarum Detachment Upgrades: Primaris Psykers, Engineers, and Ministorum Priests

This is going to be a big week for the Astra Militarum (Imperial Guard), as we get more and more information as to what to expect in the new codex.

Astra Militarum Cadian Armoured Fists Box Set

This Saturday one of the new box sets coming out for pre-orders is the Astra Militarum Cadian Armoured Fist. While we know it contains 11 models, a Chimera and 10 guardsmen, we now have a few more details on the contents.

New Riptide Variant Coming

A New Riptide variant is in the works at Forgeworld, and was revealed during conversation at Forgeworld Open Day. This variant has a lot of not yet determined parts, but it seems focused on movement and close quarter fighting.

Rumors of a Warlord Titan Being Made

There are reports again of a Warlord Titan being made again, this time as Forgeworld Open Day comes to a close, and all the information form the even is making its way out. Could this be happening? Its hard to say yes, as its like chasing rainbows when it comes to this model and others, like the mythical plastic thunderhawk.

Rules: Mechanicum Cerastus Knight-Lancer

Here we have a good look at the new rules for the Imperial Knight Lancer model we have been looking at since yesterday. It was revealed at Forgeworld's Open Day, and many people are hoping that it is going to have rules that push it out of just the Horus Heresy where it sits now and into Warhammer 40k.

Confirmed: Dark Vengeance is Going Away

Forgeworld Open Day revealed a plethora of new releases and models for us to drool over. Not only did they reveal the latest Imperial Knight, the Lancer, there was tons of new images for the Mechanicum, Legions, New Tyranids, Realm of Battle Boards, and more.

Take Aim: Astra Militarum Orders

There are new orders for the Astra Militarum, and today we have a first look at some of them. From the release order we had earlier today, there are 10 cards in the Astra Militarum Order Card set, so we can assume that there are more orders than what we have revealed here below.

This Week's Release List: Astra Militarum and Horus Heresy Book III

This week we are getting confirmations that the Astra Militarum (Imperial Guard) are getting their new codex with a new Hydra Flakk Tank dual box set that includes the new Wyvern artillery. The one thing missing here are leaked Ogryns that we have seen and talked so much about, and I can assume that these are coming the week after.

Astra Militarum Wyvern/ Hydra dual kit........ New Imperial Guard Vehicle......

The Astra Militarum has a new vehicle coming this weekend, and its going to be a dual kit with the Hydra Flakk Tank. The new vehicle is called a Wyvern and is based off a chimera hull (same as the Hydra).

Faeit's Tarot: Militarum Tempestus, Tyranids, and Dark Vengeance

This week was a flurry of Militarum Tempestus information, with new releases that are now up for Pre-Orders. Not to mention that we we were leading into the Forgeworld Open Day, which is just starting up as I write this. Rumor wise, we have new Tyranids by Forgeworld and the dissapearance of the 6th edition Dark Vengeance starter box set.

A Good Look at the New Models

I am still a fan of these of videos showing off the new models for the Militarum Tempestus. Videos for the Scions and Taurox have been released, and those Scions are looking great. These videos always show off the models in some of their best lights.

Next week, rumors have it that all the Dark Vengeance Starter sets are being sent back to GW. Could this be a sign of a new ruleset and starter set? Or even a sign that the rumors of new Chosen and Havoc is right around the corner?

Commissar's Revealed to be In the codex:Militarum Tempestus

Games Workshop has released its samples to the digital versions of the Militarum Tempestus codex, and the first thing that stood out to me, is a page for the Commissars. The codex is for Scions and Commissars, and the stat page for Commissars was shown in the samples.

The Value of Scourge Minder Swarms

In the continuing coverage of the Scourge for Dropzone Commander, I want to hit what I consider an often over-looked unit, the Minder Swarm. It takes on a scout role for the Scourge, moves slow, and has a weaker than normal Arch Caster. At first I did not like these guys.

A First Look: Tyranid Onslaught Rising Leviathan III

Tonight the third dataslate in the series Rising Leviathan was officially released and it included five new formations and the final stages of Hive Fleet Leviathan's invasion of the planet Satys. The Militarum Tempestus is now available for pre-orders along with the Taurox Prime/Taurox and Tempestus Scions / Command Squad. We have been waiting for these releases what seems like a long time now since the leaks first started.

What is Next? Release Schedule

The Games Workshop release schedules have gone weekly, and with it a lot of what we are looking is hard to figure out for the future. However, there are some constants among the rumors, and some very solid information on what is coming after we wrap up April's Astra Militarum release. First up.... Wood Elves.

Salamander Pyroclasts

Forgeworld is getting off one more release before their Open Day this weekend, with this one being available to order now. I do have fond memories of 5th edition Salamanders roaming the tables in mass, so these of course catch my interest, not to mention that they are excellent looking models.

Scourge Destroyer Packs

If you play against the Scourge, there is one unit that you should consider your biggest threat on the tabletop, Scourge Destroyer Packs. They are incredibly resilient against enemy fire once inside buildings, and if you get caught too close to them, they will rip apart your whatever they are shooting at. Very little can go toe to toe with them.

Changes to the Games Workshop Scenery Ranges

There may be some changes coming to Games Workshop Scenery. While there are new pieces coming out, it also seems that there are some that are going away.

There is another leaked image from the upcoming White Dwarf now floating around, and while it doesnt give any direct information, there is some speculation that there is a new Vendetta in the picture's background. Definitely worth checking out.

Lots of Models Dissapearing Off the Shelves This Weekend

There are quite a few things that are going to disappear this weekend at your local GW stores. They are being sent back, and are either going direct, or being replaced. I had a lot of emails this morning (I took two that were not, to publish below). Either way if you were waiting to buy a model, check this out just in case.

Promethium Relay Pipes

Here you have it, a surprise image that has Promethium Pipes in it. While I dont know out of what release its out of, I am going to assume right now that it is a leaked image. Of course with the limited edition Void Shield Generator, I truly hope this means that entire kit with both Relay Pipes and a Void Shield Generator is in the works. Otherwise, this is a big opportunity missed.

Forgeworld Tyranids Incoming

Another Imperial Armour book at Forgeworld is being worked on, and this weekend might reveal some clues to it. What we do know though, is that it will have Tyranids in it.

Mordheim Comes to the Screen

As a huge fan of Mordheim from back in the day, I am excited to see some life pushed back into it. Its of course a video game by Focus Home Interactive, but its better than the game just disapearing forever. I still have my Vampires and undead for the game sitting in some box somewhere.

Forgeworld Open Day is this weekend, and there is going to be a ton of new releases to watch for. The new Legion Falchion super-heavy tank, as well as new industrial battle board have just been announced today.

Militarum Tempestus Orders (Command)

The Tempestus Primes will soon be able to give orders out within their detachments, and use orders like First Rank Second Rank with hot-shot lasguns. The good times are about to roll.

Scion Platoons: An Elite Choice for Imperial Guard Forces

With information now coming for Scion Platoons, we can see that these are definitely a new option for the Imperial Guard Stormtroopers. They come with a lot of new options that now can make a stormtrooper force quite good, and very viable on the tabletop.

Leaked Rules for the Taurox and Taurox Prime

The Taurox is starting to grow on me, and while we are looking a new dedicated transport that will fill a slightly different role than the Chimera, it will still compete with it. Looking at what we know already (there is a few small bits of new information here) the Taurox and Taurox Prime will function with different roles and different upgrades.

As you can see from the MRAP above, the Taurox has some similarities and is rapidly growing on me.

Forgeworld: Horus Heresy Book Three-Extermination

The latest book for the Horus Heresy is about to become available at the Forgeworld Open Day event going on this coming weekend. While the releases wont be available for a couple weeks yet to the general public, we are sure to get a good look at what is coming late Sunday or early Monday.

Changes to Warhammer World

Warhammer World is apparently going to be going through some major updates and renovations. While I have not had the chance to get to the UK and visit the current one, its on my bucket list to now get there. I love digging through new drawings of buildings (architecture was my field for many years, and my schooling), so this is exciting to see.

Troop Section of the Imperial Guard

I had thought that on the Games Workshop site, there was very little model selections for troops a few weeks back. It appears today that the section is loaded with quite a bit of metal. Which I find a little odd. Either way its a good sign that these models are not going anywhere.

New Valhalla Location This Year

There is a new location for this year's Valhalla that sells itself in terms of location up in the Utah Mountains. It looks absolutely beautiful up there, and the Pavilions look like a lot of fun. Of course we are looking at being just over a month out now on the May event, which I will be attending.

Militarum Tempestus: More Leaked Pics

More pics are leaking out from the new White Dwarf, and flowing across the internet. So I have a couple links that will point to the best locations to see them, and there are some new surprises. The biggest surprise is that the Taurox Prime is a fast vehicle. Whoa.

Leaked: New Scion and Taurox Pics

There are some new images floating around that we have not seen yet. I will admit, that the more I see of the Taurox the more I am starting to like it. I think its going to be one of those models like the Stormraven, that I disliked a lot first, but now like.

Scion and Taurox Weapon Upgrade Details and Updates

We have even more information now regarding the new Taurox and Scions for the Militarum Tempestus. It seems that a Taurox Battle Cannon is not quite the same Battle Cannon of a Leman Russ, but the Taurox comes with some great weapon upgrades regardless.

We have some rules for the Scions and Taurox here. The Taurox and Taurox Prime look really good so far, with the prime being able to take options like a Battle Cannon. Whoa. The Scions are looking good as well, and I am looking forward to these models, which seems to have some great rules attached to it.

Mechanicum Krios Battle Tank

New from Forgeworld this morning, is a battle tank for the Mechanicum. This is a really beautiful model, as the aesthetics of the tank really just blew me away this morning. From the driver of the massive gun on treads, to the cogs and gears, this thing is a master piece.

Void Shield Generator Selling for $500 on Ebay

It was a limited edition run, that really did not work out well. The demand for this model is much greater than was projected, and the model sold out in less than an hour. So what now? Well, one has already been spotted for sale for $500 on ebay.

Free Dropzone Commander Downloads

Dropzone Commander has a lot of free downloads for the game, yes I said free. If you were not aware of these, there is a list builder that is excellent, free building downloads to print on your own and much more. I figured today we would explore the download section of the Hawk Wargames site.
